Hi everyone,

I am on day 3 of my second ever Master Cleanse. I did it in July of 2011, for 10 days and it seemed like a breeze. This time is a bit rougher tho. Day one was fine, I cleaned the house. Day two and I was SO tired. I had 3 one hour naps during the day and went to bed early. I drank 8 glasses of the lemonade each day so far, plus a peppermint tea, and the lax tea morning and night. Some water in between all. I feel a slight bit achy this morning, nothing major. Hoping I'll have some energy today.

The drink seems a little to sweet to me so I cut back just a little on the maple syrup, and put a little more cayenne. Can't be bad, right?

Anyone else here in the beginning of the cleanse?

Nancy

I'm on my second day now. I've done the Cleanse three times before. You're right...the first time's a breeze. I've found that I have to keep the same mental attitude that I had the first time. The body is not a happy camper when you deny it what it wants. But if we allow it to have what it wants all the time we'll wind up dead prematurley so it's a battle. The battle gets a lot easier after the third day. The second day for me is always the toughest. I'm glad this day is about over. It's kind of funny, too. When I decided to do this again, all of a sudden I'm getting emails from Pizza joints for free pizza, my friends are calling me over for bar-b-ques, etc, etc. Whenever I see stuff like that...I KNOW that I'm on the right track...lol! I hope that your cleanse goes well. It will, it will! I know you can do it!

Oh gosh today was hard again! I forgot to mention in my first post that yesterday, day 2, I was really struggling not to eat food! Today was just as bad, I'm so hungry. Just the smell of pizza drives me nuts! I want one so bad! And coffee! I kept trying to talk myself into eating food today, but somehow managed to get past it. Just kept telling myself I've got the rest of my life to eat whatever I want whenever I want. Then I also remembered when I did this last year, by day 4 (which is tomorrow! Yeah!) I wasn't hungry anymore and was able to make meals for my kids without wanting eating it.

Here's to wishing you past day two and three safely....

I've had 8 glasses of lemonade today, and one peppermint tea. Having another peppermint tea then the lax and I'm ready to bring on day 4! After a good long nights sleep:)

I know the feeling. Just try to make it through day three and you'll notice a difference. I'm on day three now. I've been going over to the Y each morning and working out, as well. I'm trying to keep the heart rate up for at least a half hour at a time. Today I peddled six miles, just like yesterday and am starting to feel great. The day I started this Papa John's pizza gives me a free pizza in my email. No thanks, PaPa....you' aren't going to kill me...lol. The next day my friends call my wife and I up and want us to come over to a barbque they're having. They told us they had really thick pork chops and rice. I had to pass. No thanks. Don't need pig. I need to shed the pounds. I think I'll go out and mow the lawn in a bit. Hang in there. Forget about the food. After three days you'll get a surge of energy and your stomach will shrink.

Day 4 here. I'm STILL hungry! But not as tired. It just doesn't seem like as much as I drink is coming out today. Maybe it's the "calm before the storm"?

Good for you working out! Wish I had that kind of energy. And pedaling six miles, gosh! I rode my motorcycle a few miles, lol and I walk my dogs around the pastures.

Cooked a frozen pizza for my daughter and MAN did it smell good! Made a peanut butter banana with almond milk milkshake for my son and after he was done I had my nose in the cup...it smelled wonderful!

Getting tired of the lemon already. Last time I switched to limes in between then didn't really like limes at all. Even tho I normally drink water with lemon daily, I'm getting sick of it suddenly now. Day 10 can't come soon enough, but hopefully I'll be feeling different about that when it does come.

Lucky for me, I really don't get invited out to often, other than family stuff. And I'm already a vegetarian so I skip alot of the meat invites. Our farm neighbors down the road have a pig roast each summer, but I usually don't go until late that night after all the main meal is gone.

Tomorrow I'll hit the scale for some more encouragement!

I am on day 5 now. I want to do a 30 day, but I will take it in increments of 10 days at a time.
