Hello everyone...
My spouse & I went on our first MC for 5 days this last Monday - almost, as we ended it the evening of the 5th day because both of us just couldn't get past the cravings/hunger, etc. We followed it to the letter otherwise, yet weren't getting exercise. We're both wanting to feel better, have more energy, de-tox, and lose weight (we're both about 40 lbs. overweight - or so).
We didn't ease-out for very long as we both just didn't feel like we had much control over the food. We did start the ease-out with some grapefruit juice (fresh) and then some homemade soup (blended), but didn't give the g/f juice a full day. Now we're sort of back to our old eating habits in just one day as our last MC day was yesterday.
Here's what we did daily: (no ease-in time though)
*Lax tea night before
*SWF with 1 Qt hot water first thing in AM
*Spicy Lemonade (about 1-2 hours after SWF) 6-12 cups
*Lax tea each evening
We weren't drinking much water though....not sure if that makes a difference, yet we will be trying that this next time around - adding more water throughout the day.
We both would like to re-start this process again tomorrow and are wondering if anyone has some good suggestions on how to beat the feeling of wanting to go off the MC before the minimum of 10 days.
I've been lurking on this forum for several days and mostly it seems people (for the most part) don't have much trouble staying on this. We both REALLY want to succeed and feel better. We had both lost about 7-8 lbs in just 5 days, but we weren't feeling 'cleared out'
enough with the SWF. Plus we are just still so food-driven. It's certainly CLEAR to both of us that this cleanse is a process and everyone responds differently, yet we had NO IDEA just how hard it would be - even though we are doing it together and we're good support for one another.
We would truly appreciate some suggestions and support from some folks that have more experience than we do for our 2nd MC process instead of trying to do it on our own this time around.
Thanks so much!!!
All the best to all of you out there on your journey to wellness.
