I might sound frugal but, this is expensive stuff!! Does anyone have any recommendations where I can purchase the grade B at a nicer price either locally or online??

Hi there! The syrup is expensive, I agree! But I look at it this way: you're still spending less money on your MC supplies for 10 days than you would on food. I only use 1 tablespoon of the syrup instead of two, which allowed according to the book, and this of course makes it last twice as long. Sometimes my local co-op offers 32-oz jugs of it for $19.99, but usually the cost is at least $32 for 32 ounces.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help with the cost, but that's mainly because I've been hard pressed to find any good deals on it myself. :(

Hi disney,

I assume ur in US, if that's true, i'll consider u more lucky than us, who live in the SEA. Here, the maple syrup (MS) Grade B is ridicolously expensive, tagged at $54 a bottle (Natural Value). I used that in my 1st round of MC, but not anymore. I'm currently using Agave Nectar (AN). It's way much cheaper than the MS and it functions more or less the same. I'm not saying that u should switch to AN, just saying that if i were u, i'd be happy with the price of the MS in the US. At times, i envy u guys coz u can get organic things easily than us here, where we have to import stuff from the US (that's why the price is too high on certain products). But what can we do eh? There's always something to set us back. But in the end, we have to make a choice anyway. It's really one way, or another. 8)

You'll probably spend no more on the Master Cleanse's lemonade ingredients than on a regular diet. But if you'd like to keep your maple syrup cost down, I'd suggest Whole Foods Market's Extra Dark For Cooking variety of maple syrup.
