Ok I know the MC is all about cleaning out toxins from my body.. and my goal is to do my first MC for 10 days or longer (until i get pink tongue) and then start my first ever raw foods diet.. and try to maintain at least 80% raw from now on. I think this will do drastic things for my health & weight loss (about about 35lbs over weight)

But what about other products? External products like makeup, skin care, mani/pedicures, tanning, hair dye.. I know i cant give this stuff up the rest of my life.. but is it important for me to give it up during the cleanse? Or are these types of toxins different, and nothing i need to worry about while on the MC??

Thanks again for your time!!

Good question. External ointments, makeup, etc. certainly count as toxins entering the body and should be avoided while on the cleanse. You can definitely get away with them throughout your life, sure. But if you're shifting your lifestyle towards a more toxin free approach, than you might want to shift your external products as well. As a good rule of thumb, do some research and then look at the ingredients on the back of your products.

My favorite is to turn a product over and see something like "red 40" as one of the ingredients. Who knows what's in that!? A company didn't make it to keep us healthy though, that much I can say.

So i should avoid (as best i can ) all external products while on the cleanse then gradually add them back in (like i will solid food) or i should just try to keep them to a minimum and watch the ingredients - all of the time (during & after the cleanse)
thanks again for your response!

maybe keep it simple and wash up with some Dr. Bronners and look around for all natural toothpaste (without flouride) and other body products. You can continue to use them after you're done with the cleanse, too. They might be more expensive, but when you look at the ingredient list and see natural ingredients instead of 500 chemicals it will make you feel better. (I could swear they last longer, too!)

I would avoid them completely during the cleanse, besides, in just a few days your skin will be glowing any way ;)

I want to ask if basic products such as cleansing milk and moisturizer have to be stopped or can i use some natural ones.
