Is the laxative tea a necessity?

I've been doing the cleanse now for 8 days without the laxative tea, only because I didn't think it was necessary since I do the salt water flush each morning. Am I missing out on anything by not using the laxative tea? Thanks in advance

MarkJames; Yes the Lax Tea is necessary. It loosens up stool to prepare it to be flushed out by the SWF. I have heard it described as being similar to Soap during the "Wash Cycle", and the SWF as the "Rinse Cycle".

Do you know if a herbal supplement pill form would be sufficient? I have some effectalax (herbal name is Cascara Sagrada) but I don't have any herbal laxative teas.

MarkJames; The main ingredient should be Senna. Most people use Smooth Move Tea, some actually boil the Senna Pods. I found a Lax Tea called 'China Slim Tea'. It's main ingredient is Senna, and I was already using it before the Cleanse.
I cannot really speak on the Pill form since it will sit in the stomach for some time to dissolve. Does it require digestive juices to break down ? If so it will defeat the purpose of the Cleanse.
I am not a Purist, so I believe if you found a Tea that is working for you...... :?:

I'm using the China Slim but it is only pulling out liquid. I need some major eliminations.

To answer your question, the necessity of a tea during the Master Cleanse depends on your eliminations. If you're having daily bowel movements from the salt water flush, you're all set. But some chamomile tea at night can aid the bowel movements and isn't as harmful to your bowels as senna.
