No one needs to agree or disagree - I love this site it has been a big help in my process and yes I am interested in losing weight in the long run but this is a tool to get me on the right track. And as far as I am concerned for those of us who are obese, we can use a holistic method to getting healthier, as many doctors say -"You are unhealthy you need to lose weight!", thus our problem we think simply losing weight will make us healthier. It is easier to just say I am doing it to Lose weight because that is what we have been programmed to understand all of our lives. IN TRUTH THE BOTTOM LINE IS IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO LOSE WEIGHT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR BETTER HEALTH! If you fail you were just not ready to make the permanant life style change.
For me after years of busting my butt 3-5 days a week at the gym and going through Thyroid tests and Metobolism tests and eating more fiber and less fat and following weight watchers, I just keep gaining weight. So after 5 years of reading about this and 11 years of reading and looking into bariatric surgeries, lap bands etc and knowing doing something so drastic I would be on a liquid diet for some time until I could handle only a tablespoon of solids then have major backlash for eating the things that this diet recommends not eating, I decided I am best to try this and if it truly works then I will be well on my way to starting off on the right foot to a new life without the need for my body to try to heal it self in the process.
