Well I started thinking of doing alternate day fasting (I have done this with juice before) but now I am on a straight water fast and on the 5th day. You will lose weight, but it will be more fat than muscle as soon as you go into ketosis, and it is deeply cleansing. It is not as hard as I thought it would be. Now, I do want to get my weight back down to 118 or so, so a few more days will probably get me there, but I am loving the cleansing effects. Check out youtube and the internet for water fasting. It is intense. On a number of fasting websites, it is said that 10 days of water fasting is like 30 days of juice fasting. Not sure if that is true, but I feel great and not really hungry.
