The first 3-4 days are the worst. If you can get through them, it gets easier. The hunger actually goes away. The only thing to deal with after that is "mind games" of wanting to eat but not actually having physical hunger pains.
It is really hard though in the beginning. I have intense migraines and bad depression every time. Every minute of the day, I want to quit but just keep pushing through and eventually its worth it. I think eating a salad a day would actually be harder because it keeps your digestive system up and running which means your actual hunger pains will never cease.
During the cleanse, your digestive system actually shuts down making the hunger go away.
