First of all, let me say I KNOW how difficult the SWF is! I've done this cleanse many many times, and sometimes have not been able to keep the SW down.
Yet, before you decide to skip it all together, consider this: Your intestinal tract is anywhere from 25 to 28 feet long. (The small intestine alone is at least 20 feet long!) So, just imagine the journey the sea salt water takes as it travels through your digestive system, navigating around all the curves and bumps and corners of your wound up intestines. It would stand to reason that all the debris and toxins don't make it clear down to the end right away, doesn't it? It may take 2, 3, 4, or more flushes to get the initial stuff out-- let alone dealing with the additional toxins that starts to make their way out thereafter. And drinking senna tea alone is not going to effectively flush all that out. Period.
The KEY is to get the natural, unprocessed sea salt (e.g., celtic sea salt, or one of equal purity -- usually found in a health food store)
SO, here is my suggestion for surviving the SWF and keeping it down--Upon waking in the morning,...:
1. First thing, I get a large glass bowl and pour 1/2 quart of distilled water in it, and put it in the microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. 2. Measure two heaping teaspoons of sea salt in the water and stir till dissolved (warming the water makes the salt dissolve easier). 3. Then I mix cold water in to make a quart of lukewarm salt water. 4. I pour myself a glass of regular cold water, then fill a large coffee mug with the salt water. 5. I stand in front of the kitchen sink, take 3 deep breaths. After the third breath, I breath in deeply, and hold my breath while taking large sips of the salt water, counting the sips as I drink them... 1...2...3...4...5... for as many sips as it takes to drink the entire mug of salt water. 6. I immediately drink a few sips of the regular water to wash the salty taste down... 7. Then I fill the mug with the salt water and repeat until it's gone, always drinking regular cold water until I can't taste the salt water any more.
The SW usually flushes out the fastest if I'm up and walking. So I try to shower and prepare my lemonade supplies for the day while I'm waiting for the SW to make its way out. I also find that drinking my first cup of lemonade after about 30 to 45 minutes after drinking the SW hurries the last phase of the flush.
So, I hope that helps. As difficult as it is, the SWF is perhaps the key element to cleansing. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP!
