Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

HI all,

Ok, so Ive done the MC once before about a year ago--I don't remember the first day being so hard! I drank approx. 96 oz of lemonade today--I used only half the syrup that was called for, so I added some more to the mix tonight as I was feeling a little light headed...and weak. I experienced this on the 3rd day when I did this before, but not the 1st?!?

Has anyone else had this much trouble on the first day? I felt fine for the first half of the day, and then by about 3pm, it seemed to go downhill. I made it through day 1, but Im wondering what is going to happen tomorrow...if I feel worse?

Be strong, Dafodil! It does get better. The first three to five days are the very worst. The dizziness and light-headedness are more than likely due to the toxins circulating throughout your bloodstream. You're cleansing and detoxing, and that makes those bad toxins unhappy campers. At least, that's what Stanley Burrough's says in the Master Cleanser book that I have! I felt really dizzy the first time that I did a cleanse three years ago, but it went away after a day or two, and then I felt much better. The only thing that kept me hanging on was reading the book, and learning what all these symptoms mean and the good that I was doing for myself by ridding my body of so many toxins.

thank you Lilac! I am on day 3...I am feeling a bit better...I have slept a little more in the last couple of days and I do feel weakness if I walk to far, but overall, it is getting better. I have not pushed myself too much. I hope I can make it to day 10. I want to go longer but I have to go away for the weekend and its going to be difficult to maintain in that environment.
