I am hoping to get some responses from experienced cleansers like myself.

I am wondering if anyone of you have ever tried to use a magnesium carbonate or citrate on the cleanse as an alternative laxative? Provided that the product is completely vegan and gluten free I don't see any reason why we couldn't use it. I have never tried it, and haven't need to yet. As it is a mineral it is not food, and it is very absorable once taken. And there is no flavor to it depending on which one you buy. So just wondering if anyone has tried it? If not, I might try it next time I do the cleanse. Though I suspect the magnesium is going to work much faster than the laxitive tea especially on a cleanse, and it will be highly important to be well hydrated and no use too much.

Yes, i use Colosan. It's magnesium. It works well cleaning the small and large intestine.
buy it online, just google it.

Hi Chrissy thanks for your reply. So that is what that stuff is.. haha. The one I use during times off the cleanse is Peter Gilham's Clam. It's a powder that fizzes up in hot water and then you can drink it. I use this almost daily off the cleanse, and not for BMs.

A further note, I would be careful with Colosan. I just looked it up online, for me I don't think I would be using this. It's 3730mg per serving. That's a bit much. The one I am using is only about 300mg per severing and it is not a Magnesium oxide. Magnesium oxide is what they use in hospitals to create bowel movements, it has no aborbability at all and from what I understand can be quite dangerous in large doses such as Colosan. In addition I read that any sort of magnesium in high doses can cause kidney damage. Because the lable on Colosan is not clear, it does not say specifically which oxides it uses, I am skeptical to even use it. Perhaps their point is not to let you absorb any magnesium, just to let it all go to the colon to create more water there to clean it out, which is fine, but the dosage they are using per severing is considerablly high in my opinion. It apparently works for you though...
