Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

I HATE the tea. Literally, my throat starts the gag reflexes as soon as I think about it. I force it down anyway (maybe 4 times a week or so). It doesn't make me "go" but I figure it is loosening things.
Per the instructions, you are supposed to use 8oz of water. In your opinion, do you think less water (say 4oz) is okay? I figure, its still steeping for 10-15 mins in water.....would there be the same stuff in less water?
I'm asking because its much more bearable for me to drink less. I can't go by whether or not I go to the bathroom because I don't anyhow so guess I'm just asking for opinions on this.

If that's the only way you can do it then i suppose it's better than nothing but perhaps you should try another brand or a few other brands. I'm not sure enough of the herb would infuse with the water to get the full effect but it seems you have trouble with that already. How hot is the water and how long do you steep? Even though it's all mainly senna, there are differences. I don't have a problem with it but some people do find a need to stick with a certain brand or even a "flavor" (chocolate) of herbal lax tea.

Smooth Move makess or 4 different flavors, now. I am liking the Chamomile right now. I feel like its more mild. Take a look in the stores. but seriously, just chug it. let it cool down and chug it. I don't love it, but thats what I do.

I don't love the tea either. I make mine on the small size and I don't let it steep for very long - just until the water begins to turn color. I think the smooth move is more mild than one I've tried in the past. I once used one called Super Dieters Tea and that stuff had me cramped up terribly and it smelled strong. The smooth move is much more doable to me but I also don't like it.

If you're referring to the commonly suggested Smooth Move brand of laxative tea, I'd say switch to a different tea for the Master Cleanse. That tea is based on the herb senna, which is a harsh laxative that is particularly harmful to the condition of your bowels with prolonged use. So to keep the toxins moving out of you during the Master Cleanse, I'd suggest chamomile tea (more info at ) and be sure to do the Master Cleanse's salt water flush first thing every morning. That will keep the toxins moving out without being as harmful to your bowels as a senna-based tea. Oh, and the chamomile tea is mild and pleasant. Gagging is highly unlikely.
