For what it's worth, what came to mind is that it sounds like this is mental resistance rather than physical. Perhaps you could change this by taking a few minutes to sit, close your eyes, and relax. Once you're in a peaceful, receptive state, imagine the maple syrup and choose to associate positive thoughts and expectations with it. Imagine drinking it in the lemonade and feeling how wholesome and beneficial it is for you. Imagine it energizing and nourishing you and your relishing that. If you "program" yourself that way, your experience of the maple syrup will change.
