Day 1-

First day wasn't very bad. It was more mental than anything. All I could think about was that I was really doing a fast and excited and anxious about it. I didn't feel hungry. But I have always eaten 3 meals a day and so I craved food a little just because my mind and body are trained to think about it and seek it out three times a day. Had a bad dream that night, that showed my insecurities about not being thin and pretty enough. Not great to wake up to. And then felt nauseated through out the night and was awakened by it about 3 or 4 in the morning. At that point I felt like vomitting but didn't want to and just tried my best to sleep through the nausea. But all in all, not a very tough day. Felt really energized.

Day 2-

Yesterday was worse. And not because it had anything to do with hunger. Just the opposite. I felt so "ill" I didn't want to consume ANYTHING. Didn't want food and especially didn't want the LA. I felt so bad b/c I had a headache on and off all day. Nausea persisted and never really went away, like the headache. Also, I was bloated. Despite feeling like crap and slightly sluggish, I managed to work out some how. I walked 24 minutes and ran 30 min. I lifted some weights and then went home. I experienced the mucous at night for the first time and coughed some up. It was a little hard falling asleep. I was so exhausted, but I still had the headache and was nauseous. And the headache and nausea woke me up like clock work at 4am. Didn't sleep well. I think I lost a pound. Clothes fit a bit better. Weight loss isn't the motive with the cleanse. But it's a partial motive. I plan to use the cleanse as a way to eat better, live better and lose a little weight. Mainly just want a better life balance, want to correct bad eating habits so I don't feel so weighed down and lethargic and want more energy and clarity inside and out.

Day 3-

That would be today, March 7th. I am half way through the day only, but so far feel the same as yesterday, wish I didn't have to consume anything (i.e. the LA drink) because I feel so yucky: more sluggish/weak feeling, headache, nausea, bloated and just plain old "ill" (even though I know those are just the detox symptoms). Definitely don't feel hungry. I know if I smell something, mentally I will want it, just because the smell would definitely be comforting right now and I am wanting some "normalcy" to life at the moment. But that will pass as I stay focused; I'm not worried. I am at work and want to leave early just to go rest and lay down. Last night I didn't sleep well, since the nausea kept me up. At least I didn't have a bad dream! It's getting harder to stomach the LA. I tried limes today for the first time. Didn't help much. Still hard to stomach. I heard the peppermint tea might help with the nausea...so I will try that. Suprisingly, my battle is not food, temptation to go to food. Really I am just hoping I can drink 6 servings of this "drink" and get it over with each day. (What happened? I enjoyed the drink so much on the first day!) Hoping day 4 will relieve me of nausea and day long headaches. So then maybe it won't be so hard to stomach the LA. But WOW. I made it to day THREE. Never in a million years ever thought I could do something like this. I must truly have my mind set. I am proud of myself and my friend who is doing it with me. Yay for me and yay for him!

Tell you more about tonite if anything out of the ordinary occurs...

Hope this blogged experience helps newcomers and what to possibly expect. At least it helped me to vent! : )
