I posted it but I can't remember where. Probably somewhere along w/Team Triumpth topic.
Anyway i did more research (googled it) and it appears to be a myth and Sacred Heart does not take credit for it. However, my male friend did loose 6 lbs and 2 inches from his waist. It has gone under many other names as well (mostly different hospitals) and is very similar to "The cabbage soup diet".
So that's that. He said the soup was tasty and that's what I was interested in a tasty veg soup for the few days after BUT when I found the recipe I saw a few things I didn't like (like adding a lipton soup packet) b/c of high salt content and additives. I found some better recipes on
www.goveg.com and
www.rawfoods.com that I think I will use.
However, if you do look at the "plan' for the sacred heart diet you can probably tweak it to make it heathier and help with breaking this fast and starting a new way of eating better.
I have to say though, with all the recipes on the 2 above mentioned sites, I don't think I'll have much problem cooking healthier!!! Ck it out but only if you can mentally take it - i was going ravenous with hunger just reading the recipes!
