I started wiening myself off of sugar, sodas and caffeine over a two week period. Then, one week before the cleanse, I started substituting my meals with protein shakes until I was only eating food (dinner) once per day. This process helped me to minimize the heavy withdrawals symptoms that I know I would experience had I not taken these preventative measures.
I am on day 4 of the MC and haven't had any major withdrawal symptoms. The only thing that has been bothersome to me is the SWF. I took my first flush this morning and it was BAAAAAAAAAAAAD. The bile smelled awful. And, might I recommend...WHEN you get the urge to eliminate after the SWF, don't wait...RUN!
I decided to do the SWF only on the weekend because I didn't know how my body would react to it. And, I'm glad that I waited. Now, I know that my body only requires 20 minutes before the flush and so far, I've had two eliminations after the flush. So, until I get a firm handle on what's happening, I will do two laxative teas per day during the weekdays and the SWF on the weekends.
