Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

Hi everyone,

I was all poised to start the fast tomorrow but yesterday I was hit with a whopper cold - sore throat, burning lungs, runny nose, congestion... the whole deal :( Can I still start the fast tomorrow or am I asking for trouble? I am really motivated to get going on this, I need detoxification!!

Anne, what a bummer! I think everyone is different on this depending on how you feel. I myself, if as motivated as you, would go ahead and just know the symptoms may get worse before better as you detox a sickness as well as regular stuff. Just keep an eye on yourself to make sure you don't get worse! Good luck, keep posted ;)

According to Burroughs' book, if you get sick, the first thing you want to do is to start detoxing the body, so I am sure it is safe to detox at this time.

I am sure you won't enjoy yourself, but I was a little sick when I started my first and it cleared up right away. Not a full blown cold or anything, but the cleansing took care of it right away.

So I say go for it! ;)

Thanks for the responses guys! :) I went ahead anyway and started yesterday. My cold cleared up in record time :shock: unbelievable! I'm sure the cayenne helped break up the mucus.

Most of the testimonies I have read say that you don't have hunger pangs. Well I am getting them often especially in the evening (that was my munchie time) and extra lemonade doesn't help unfortunately. I went to bed with a headache and woke up with one. It went away with my first glass tho :)

Today my chin broke out in hives (weird!) and I'm getting some pain in the liver area. I guess these are manifestations of the detox process. Tomorrow I'm trying my first salt water flush!

Glad to hear you're doing okay Anne, and thanks for the compliments on the journal. It was very useful for me to write. :)

I had hunger pains the first couple of days myself. The lemonade really only took the edge off the pain, but it was still there. It wasn't until the end of the 3rd day and beginning of the 4th that things really went away for the most part.
