Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

I'm in Germany and I went to several grocery stores looking for non-iodized salt and/or sea salt. Didn't have any luck. I was able to find all the other required ingredients.

I did a searh throught the forums for epson salt (which I was able to buy) and I read a post that said that people shouldn't drink it. Is that true? The carton that I have says it could be used as a laxative drink.

Can I use it in place of non-iodized salt or sea salt or am I asking for trouble? If not, are there any other alternatives? I drank the smooth move tea tonight because I want to start the cleanse tomorrow morning. If I can't use epson salt then I'll search the net and order some non-iodized and/or sea salt.

Please give me your opinions on doing the SWF with epson salt.

Epsom salt can be used as a laxative, but it is not quite the same as the SWF. It is a salt, but salts can vary very much (I believe any metal and nonmetal together makes a salt.. but it has been a while since chemistry class!)

Epsom salts also taste gross! Sometimes I make a homemade facial scrub with Epsom salt and I tasted it once and it was disgusting!

If you can get it down and it is the only salt you can find, then I guess you could try it and see how it goes. Where are you in Germany? I thought that natural food was a pretty big deal over there. Try asking for Celtic Sea Salt, that comes from France.

I am currently doig a colon cleanse because I had a hard time sticking to the MC. After my frustrations I decided I needed to do something and will try it again in the coming weeks. I purchased oxypowder and on their website they also have a liver cleanser and they inform on their website when you do the SWF to use epson salt. I never tried it though, I used celtic salt when I was on my MC. I am assuming it will be okay, but I am definately not a veteran. Regarding the taste, I don't think it matters what salt you use, it is all horrid.

As for where I'm at in Germany, I'm in Kaiserslautern. It's in the Rhineland-Pfalz area. I'm in the U.S. Air Force and stationed at Ramstein.

I'll hold off another day and look around for the Celtic Salt. I'm sure they have what I'm looking for somewhere over here because they are really into natural foods. It's just hard asking for certain things when you don't speak any German. Hopefully I'll find something soon. I the mean time I'll probably order some sea salt from Amazon.com. It'll take about 2 weeks to get here but I'm sure it'll be worth waiting for.

My German is a little rusty, but you could always write something down like this and bring it into a store:

"Ich moechte das Meersalz mit keinem Lod bitte."

I am sure there is a better way of saying it.. but it would get the point across.
