I'm new to this, and thinking about doing the MC. my boyfriend did it for 5 days ( i was in the middle of doing a show so couldn't do it with him ) and he felt great. I'd love to do the Fast but first have a couple questions:
1) I am a very active person. Should i be doing Yoga during the fast? Or will the depletion of energy make me too weak to be active at first? or at all?
2) I keep reading some posts and it seems to me that some people have the impression that this is also a weight-loss diet. I understand that it is for detox and cleansing the body, so many people who may lose a few pounds during (let's say) a 1 week fast, usually gain some of the weight back once they return to normal, healthy eating. This is an issue for me because I can sometimes find myself having a distorted body image. So am I correct when I say this is a detox/cleanse, not INTENDED to lose weight, but effects may contain weight-loss? Or do people really almost starve themselves thinking this is a "healthy" way to JUST lose weight? And if I do a long fast and lose, let's say about 10 lbs., doesn't my metabolism slow down during the non-eating period, and therefore, wouldn't I yo-yo back to the initial weight once I return to healthy eating habits? ((this question is more for psychological comfort))
I would greatly appreciate any clarification and answers.
