Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

has anyone gained weight on the master cleanse? this is my second master cleanse. i did one in february and lost weight on that. i still have weight to lose but i'm gaining it so fast on this cleanse.

i'm five food eight and a half inches, i weighed 143 pounds on day one.
on day two i weighed myself and i was 144.8. this morning i weighed myself and i was 146.6. i'm convinced i'm retaining the salt water so i weighed myself again this morning after drinking my salt water flush and i'm 149.9 - help!

i'm doing everything according to the book and i'm having regular bowel movements but i do feel bloated.

my periods have always been about 40 days apart naturally but i haven't had a period since my last MC in mid February. i've taken two pregnancy tests and i'm definitely not pregnant.

could the two things be connected??

i'd really appreciate any help or light anyone can shed on my situation. i don't want to chuck it all in but i'm not sure i have a choice.

you are dehydrated, so the colon absorbs your SWF. to assist this from not happening, drink way more water while on MC, the protocol, is atleast one gallon a day. put 3 teaspoons of Sea salt in your flush, the heavier the salt solution, the more your system will reject it, and not absorb it at all, it becomes a river that pulls out the poisons, and flushes quickly out of you, you will see.... you just havn't learned yet what your body needs... try more salt and more water. don't give up. weight will melt off. stay with the process, until it becomes easy. you are not there yet, but soon you will be. stay with us.

Just wondering if your weight has started to drop yet. From your post, it sounded like you had weighed yourself right after doing the SWF. Of course you would gain weight because you just drank 2 pounds of water!

Make sure you are only weighing yourself once a day--first thing in the morning after you pee. Otherwise, the weight isn't accurate. I am often up to 5 pounds heavier at other times in the day than I was in the morning. Only your morning weight counts--and even that can vary.

Maybe this is obvious information, but some people may not realize how much weight they are drinking in. It always seems to take a good night's sleep to release the extra water weight for me.

thank you so much for your encouragement and support and sorry for the delayed reply i only have access to a computer during the week.

i decided to take a break and re-start the master cleanse again in a couple of weeks maybe. my legs and ankles and feet and knees swelled up really big and my feet actually went sort of numb where they were so swollen and my weight kept going up so i got quite worried. within 48 hours of coming off the cleanse (gently) i'd released most of the excess fluid.

i did a 20 day cleanse in feb and i didn't have this reaction, but i do have a tendancy to retain water, maybe i was trying another cleanse too soon?

i was using himalayan pink salt - 3 big teaspoons in 32 oz of water every morning and drinking loads of water and lemonade all day.

i feel like i've let you guys down as well as myself but i know i'll be back to do another one because i still have detoxing to do and my first MC was such a positive experience.
