Hey everyone, well I'm back.. finally!
After numerous attempts I am finally feeling 100% committed this time. This is my 2nd Master Cleanse Fast. I am hoping to last the entire month of FEB... (what and miss out on valentines chocolate?!
) My first one was about a year or so ago and, I made it 36 days before weaning myself back onto food. Before my first fast I was a meat / dairy /junk / fast food eater and after fasting I became vegan. So I dont eat chocolate anyways!
Here are the results from my last fast:
start weight = 163lbs.
Start BMI = 22
weight now = 139.5
BMI now = 18.
I maintained my weight with my new vegan diet for over a year. However, for the last 4 months of so, my life/work became somewhat hectic (I know... no excuse...) and my diet has suffered. I've been consuming mostly high carbohydrate meals (pasta/rice/potatoes) in excess and relied too heavily on soy, pop, junk food instead of vegetables and have gained back alot of my original weight plus more.
My goals for this fast are in no particular order are:
A) Re awaken my love for wholesome food
B) Awaken my taste buds back up
C) Lose at least 20 - 30lbs
D) Break bad habits
E) Health
F) Attempt to make this fast primarily a water fast/very low syrup
DAY ONE!
Starting Weight: 172lbs
Starting BMI: 23.3
Goal Weight : 135 - 145
Well day one is not over yet, but, I figure its best to commit 100% and starting a journal helps with that. I haven't had any lemon aid yet today, I would really like to try and fast mostly with just water and use the lemon aid drink when needed. So far I am fine.. actually I am down .5lbs since this morning already....
and I plan on drinking a smooth move tea tonight.
My bf has decided to attempt the MC as well for the first time. So far he is suffering terrible acid reflux. I dont think he will be using the salt water flush or lax tea. This is his first fast and I told him not to try and push through, but to take it one day at a time. It took me at least 3 smaller fasting attempts of 1 - 5 days before I was able to fast for 36 days.
Well lets see how it goes!
To anyone just starting Congrats! You can do it! Keep Going!
Stay strong!
