Bayou Girl - thank you !!! i'm so pleased with my accomplishment and am now reaping the benefits of my tenacity - with better health AND a newfound sense of clarity and focus.
gosh - i don't know how much weight i lost. i don't own a scale. it held me under tyranny. seriously. getting on it in the morning and seeing a number i didn't like had the power to ruin a perfectly good day. i threw it out years ago and just go by how my clothes fit. i will say this - i got very LEAN during this cleanse. i don't think i realized how lean until the very end.
before the last cleanse i did - i was a size 14/16 (gulp! - my biggest ever). i went for 28 days on that cleanse and got down to a size 10 (sometimes an 8 depending on the clothes). i changed the way i ate after that cleanse and was able to maintain my weight. this cleanse i started out solidly a size 10 - like at the top of the size 10 range. all my clothes fit, but nothing was loose. i knew i wasn't fat by any means, but i wasn't feeling as lean as i like to.
so, it's been 2 weeks since i ended the cleanse and i think i've
lost even more weight since ending it. seriously. i always had a pair of size 8 skinny jeans hanging in my closet - a pair that i would squeeze into whenever i got skinny. and when i say squeeze, i mean squeeze -- like lie down...rubber band through the button hole and around the button to close them...and serious muffin top action. i had to wear a long baggy shirt over them if i dared leave the house in them.
well, i put them on after the cleanse and they were LOOSE. they even got a tiny bit baggy in the butt once i'd been wearing them for a while. woah! my old size 10 jeans now look like 'boyfriend' jeans. i roll 'em up and wear them with cute wedges and a fun, tight, girly top - as if they were meant to be super baggy.
also, i'd bought myself a pair of shorts toward the end of the cleanse - in late may (i was always treating myself to little 'rewards' along the way
). i got them in a size 10 - and at the time i tried them on, was happy with the way they fit - i was more in the middle of the size 10 range and felt good about it. so, after the cleanse i tried those shorts on and they were hanging on me - like i could pull them off without unbuttoning them - HANGING.
fortunately i still had the receipt - and target has a 90 day return policy. i took 'em back and tried on the size 8 - STILL baggy. i tried on the size 6 - even though i've
never been a size 6 in my life - they fit....like the 10's fit before. a little loose - which is the cut of the shorts. hee hee! first of all, i'm wearing SHORTS (which is an accomplishment in itself). and i'm wearing
size 6 shorts!!!
i'm a lean yoga and ice skating machine now. i'm thin, but i'm strong, have lots of energy, have a nice amount of muscle definition and i look really healthy. i plan to stay at this weight.
how is that for a long answer!
