First Timer: Ten days...Twenty days...Forty days!

Hello everyone. I'm Yoyo and I started the Master Cleanse today.
Pigged out over the weekend... : ( Tried to do a SWF last night, but nothing happened. Guessing I need to get the mixture right for my body.

Stats
Age: 18 y/o
Current Weight: 110lb+
Lowest Weight: < 100lb
Height: 5'2

I'm going for ten days for now. Hoping to get to the full forty days. : ) Really excited. I am doing this for cleansing as well as weight loss purposes. I know it sounds like I'm already at a normal weight, but I do have an athletic/chunkier body type and this has been a really terrible month for me, eating-wise. Need to get toned and fit for summer (and life!)

I'll be updating regularly. This is my first time, so let's see how things go.

I don't have any cravings as of yet. But I still feel like I'm mentally preparing myself for failure. : (
A terrible feeling.

I'm usually quite amazing at going cold turkey with things, but the last couple of months have been really tough on me and I have gone through an experience that is something like an eating disorder. I just have a really unhealthy relationship with food as well as an overwhelming urge to lose weight. I lost 10lb since January - doing it the healthy way at first, but it got seriously messed up during the process... ED feelings began. I've gained back all the weight since then.

Hopefully, the MC will either break my unhealthy mentality or at least improve it.

I hope the forums don't mind me spamming my journal... it is a journal after all.. I can post as much as I want, right?

Anyways...my first day is drawing to an end. I do NOT have herbal lax tea though : (!! I bought some laxative pills instead because I couldn't find it. Will continue to look for them at the mall tomorrow.

Freaking hungry right now. I drank a lot of water but it passed by super quickly, lol. I haven't had a BM yet. Normally, I "go" three to four times a week. I took 3 lax pills a few hours ago and have yet to feel the effects :/ I also SWF last night and still nothing.

But I feel good. Lots of energy. Freezing cold though. Dum dee dum. I heard second and third days are the hardest...so bring on the challenge!

Regarding the lax tea, look for a brand called Smooth Move. It comes in Chocolate flavor and Organic Herbal Mix.

Wal-mart and most major grocery chains carry it.

Hey mcyoyo,

Welcome to the world of the master cleanse! I'm new to cleanse myself and from what I read in the book, it's better to drink the SWF first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If you can't take the swf, then you have the lax tea morning and night. As Joseph mentioned in the previous post, smooth move is the best brand. Sometimes it makes me feel crampy, but it helps the flush work better.
