Hello again,
I finally decided to commit to a 25-day cleanse, after gaining back the weight I had lost since losing about 20 lbs last Feb/March. After having my thyroid checked around mid-April, I had found out that my thyroid was barely functioning!!!!
I've been on Synthroid for Hypothyroid since 2007. Tired of feeling sluggish and constantly struggling to keep my weight off, I decided to go natural again and try Armour thyroid. (I had tried it for a year, after first getting diagnosed, and for various reasons decided to take the easiest, cheapest route---Synthroid). Anyways, my Holistic doctor suggested going back on Armour, so I did and feel so much better lately!!!!
It was also discovered that I had adrenal fatigue, which I have since corrected with an herbal remedy. I am currently on 120 mgs, but may need an increase. I just need to be patient, which is difficult for me, especially wanting this weight off ASAP!!!
I admit that I just felt like giving up with my healthy eating and exercising, around the time I heard that my thyroid wasn't working, because I am well aware that when it's not functioning; weight loss is next to impossible. I felt like I was just running uphill!!! It is no wonder that I was slowly gaining weight back, felt hungry and tired all of the time. I remember just thinking that until I get my thyroid back on track, I would take a holiday from constantly stressing and obsessing about my weight. Well, now it looks/feels like my thyroid is on the mend, and I am more than ready to lose this excess weight and get healthy again!!! I also have the strong hope that this time the weight will stay off due to my thyroid being corrected!!!!
I've come a long way from the desperate, hopeless, depressed person I had become 2 months ago and now feel alive, rejuvenated, motivated and excited to regain my health and slim figure. I have all of my summer clothes out, and I can't wait to slowly get back into them again!!!! Never give up, Never surrender!!!! I am back at this with as much motivation as I've ever had to lose this weight and keep it off. I am completely aware of my problem foods and have plans to adhere to a more Alkaline-friendly diet. I definitely plan on eating a lot more veggies and less GF-starchy foods. I guess I am still a work in progress, but I know I will eventually get better at this, because I never give up trying!!!
I've had 10 lemonades today, SM tea, and skipping the SWF tonight. (I flush at night, due to an early work schedule and taking thyroid meds in the am).
It feels great to be back!!!!!!
