Tomorrow I will start a 20 Day Master Cleanse. I've done it once before, very successfully, for 10 days, but haven't had the willpower to do another. My main goal is weight loss but I also just want a way to restart. I was once a very healthy and fit person, but a rough bout of depression over the past 4-5 months turned me into a lazy, junk food eating monster. I finally feel ready to return to the person that I once was and I think this cleanse is the way to start. Even if the weight loss isn't great, restarting my diet will be an accomplishment. And, the discipline in sticking with it will help with other parts of my life that depression has taken a toll on.

I wanted to create a log as a way to be held accountable. I will track my weight loss and general feelings. I may post pictures at the end if I'm feeling ballsy.

Note: I will not be doing the salt water flush because I am not a masochist. I tried it once, and I had traumatic flash backs to when I was 7 at the beach and my older brother "lovingly" dunked me, causing me to choke on the water and vomit. Never again. NEVER.

Anyways, feel free to join me! And if i waiver, definitely feel free to yell at me to keep going.

Update: So I know I didn't post for the first 3 days but things are going well. They were pretty hard, honestly. I was craving out my wazoo. But I just went to bed early to overcome the late night boredom cravings, and I got through them!

Today is the start of day 4, and I'm feeling good. The first 3 days are supposed to be the hardest so.. smooth sailing from here?? (HA, no). I'm a college student, so during the day, I'm pretty much fine since I'm busy with class and work. But I find that trying to focus on studying is hard. I am a snacker, and I ALWAYS let myself have something when I study (for brain power, obviously). So it's hard to break that habit. I actually planned this first week to be during a time where I had 0 test, therefore no long, late night study sessions. Hopefully this plan works and, by next week, I can pull an all-nighter with only the help of my spicy lemonade.

Anyways. Here's my weight loss:
(Note: I ate a large meal the night before my first weigh in, so initial weight loss may be skewed.)
All weights are morning weight.
Day 1: 175.0
Day 2: 170.6
Day 3: 168.4
Day 4: 167.4
LBS Lost: 7.6lbs

Also, to put my weight in perspective:
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Height: 5'6

I'll try to check in daily now. But no promises.

Hi Len! Just wanted to write a note to you to see how you're doing! We have similar stats. I'm 5'6", and had been at 175 for a WHILE but in the last couple months I've been a little more conscious and am down to 166. I'm on day 1 today and ready to drop some more. :lol: Yeah, they say after the first few days it's smooth sailing. For me it's more like day 7 when I finally start feeling pretty good. Day 1 for me is always tough with the brain fog, which I'm currently in. I work a 9-5 where I need to be semi-lucid, lol, so I'm trying to push through. Planning on working from home tomorrow.

So is today day 11 for you? How's it going? :D
