Today is day one of my Master Cleanse. I have done a 10 day cleanse before, and I witnessed many benefits from this detox. I had a glowing face, clear skin, the best sleep I've ever had, and lost 20lbs in 10 days.

I'm going to start the cleanse because I just want to clean out my system, and I enjoy the detoxifying process. I'm aiming for 10 days, but my goal will be 40. Ultimately, I'm going to take it day by day and start with 10 days because saying 40 seems kind of daunting. I've done 10 days before so 10 days seems very doable.

Good luck!!! I've never gone as long as 10 days. Do you plan on exercising during the cleanse?

I've never exercised on the cleanse. I feel like since you're cutting out food completely it's good for the body to rest because a lot of exercise could be too strenuous on the body. I'm thinking about doing some sort of light activity like yoga maybe, but usually I just try to rest. I drop weight quickly without exercise.

This morning I weighed 206.1 and yesterday I was 210 !

DAY 3:

Today is day 3 of my cleanse, and as of this morning I've lost 6.2lbs. I slept sooooooooooo well! Luckily, I have absolutely no headache or cravings at all, which is usually normal for me when I'm doing this cleanse. The only thing is that my stomach growls so much it's kind of embarrassing lol. When I'm out of my drink, I try to drink a lot of water so I feel full. :oops:

HOWEVER! Overall I feel great. I work all day, get home, take a nice shower, and stay in my room like a hermit crab. Anything to avoid wondering in the kitchen! I'm excited to keep going. I usually start seeing changes in my face by day 5.

DAY 4!

Today is day 4 of my cleanse, and when I weighed myself this morning I was the same weight. I didn't gain, so I guess that's a good thing, but I've been going crazy trying to figure out why I didn't lose either! I figured it out, and now I feel like an idiot.

Last night I did the salt water flush, and I was fine. I went to the bathroom frequently and everything was good. HOWEVER! I used iodized sea salt instead of uniodized sea salt. :evil:

Rookie move I must say, but for those of you who don't know...Iodized sea salt makes you bloat and retain water, which explains why I didn't lose this morning! I was discouraged to continue this morning but I had a feeling it had to do with the salt, so I looked it up and there you go. Well at least I know now.

Let day 4 continue... :wink:
