Day 10!!! Very frustrating finish... I wish I would have quit day 7 if I was just going to plateau the last 3 days... I know I shouldn't feel that way but I do... I know I'm improving my health regardless of the weight loss but let's face it, most of us our here first and foremost to lose weight and break food habits. Ahhh well. This is the first time I've finished all 10 days and I'm pround of that! I will post my final weight tomorrow and then I'll see y'all next year! Good luck!

Day 1- SW- 197.8
Day 2- 193.8 (-4)
Day 3-192.2 (-1.6)
Day 4- 192 (-.2)

Day 6- 189.4 (-.9)
Day 7- 186.7 (-2.7)
Day 8- 187.2 (+.5)

@toxictexan congratulations ! Just read through yours and Birdy's post as they were a motivating read, hopefully I can keep going to day 10. If you get chance please post how you're getting on post cleanse, always interesting to know people's ways of breaking the cleanse and maintaining the loss.

Good work, ToxicTexan! Those last 3 days were not a waste, by any means. You were letting your digestive system rest, and allowed bodily resources to put their efforts into healing scar tissue, stopping inflammations, etc. It's so easy to look at the scale and focus on that, alone, but really you did your body a wealth of good.

Go slow and gradual on the ease out. I am usually a two-days-on-OJ and then move on to vegetable broth, but I think you mentioned you were going to do OJ and yogurt, which doesn't sound bad, although I don't see any of the experts suggesting yogurt so soon. The gut will definitely want a blast of probiotics.

You did well. Come back here in 6 months or whenever you feel you can do another cleanse.

High fives,

Lem

Hey, Birdy... let us know what happened after Day 10. No shame if you called it a day, just asking...

POST CLEANSE

Day 10 was my last cleansing day. Today would be Day 13, and I'm happy to say that I've lost another 1/2 pound, for a total of 6.5.

I eased off the cleanse with a vegetable soup, which I am still eating for breakfast and lunch, and I eat the vegetable soup with some protein for supper. Last night's supper was the soup along with a hard boiled egg and cottage cheese.

I am easing over to the Keto Diet, which is a high-fat, extremely low carb diet (20 g/day). I guess your body burns fat instead of carbs for energy. So far, so good. I've been pinning low-carb recipes like crazy and am anxious to try some!!

Hope everybody is feeling strong on the cleanse, and that you have a good plan to transition to when you're finished. I have to mention, though, that I haven't had a BM since completing the cleanse. I've been doing Miralax every morning, and a laxative at night, and probiotics throughout the day, and nothing. I always have this problem. Any other suggestions?

Today's quote, and this is my favorite quote of all: "The Way to Happiness: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, and give much. Scatter sunshine, forget self, and think of others."

Love to you all,
