Hi everyone.
I'm starting day 1 today. So much has gone on in my life in the past 6 months my weight has been a bit of a Rollercoaster. I'm 33 and weigh 152.8 lbs this morning with just a big t-shirt on. I'd really like to start off by getting to 135lbs.
My Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in October. So getting healthier is on my mind everyday.
I'm really hoping I can stick to this. I also hope others are cleansing right now, I could really use a buddy.
2 lemonades in today and 32 oz of water. I didn't to the swf as I was feeling a bit queasy this morning when I got up.

Hi there! Sorry to hear about your mom! My dad this time last year had major heart surgery in the middle of my cleanse (I do mc every new year for 3 years now). Needless to say my weight losses on the cleanse was quickly gained back from the severe depression of watching a loved one in pain :-(. Prayers for your mom. I'm on day 7 as I started January 2nd. Down 11.1 pounds and can see the light at the end of the tunnel (day 10). Good luck! Your first time doing master cleanse?

Hi there, Hope83!

That is very tough news about your mom. I am so sorry to read about it. Yes, staying healthy through exercise and nutrition is key.

Welcome to the Master Cleanse. Please help me out if I'm reading your journal wrong... did you say just 2 lemonades in one day? Be sure to have your minimum of 6 lemonades each day. That combo of Grade B maple syrup and fresh lemon (or lime) gives you the minerals, vitamins, and energy to maintain your body's functions. I think it's wonderful that you're chugging the water... your body needs it. But for sure get the nutrition of the lemonade.

You will probably lose around 10 lbs on the Master Cleanse if you do the minimal 10 day plus ease-off. A cleanse of that length or longer takes discipline, support, and following the time-honored instructions to the letter. And why is it so important to ease off? Check out the "ease off" section on this site:

I eventually go back to a ketosis diet, but very heavy on vegetables. So I always try to use OJ for a full day before soup (reference below):

And when you get to that soup stage, YUM! Savor this:

Read, read, read as many references as you can for the Burroughs Master Cleanse. There are a lot of additives out there, but Burroughs remains the benchmark.

(The reading not only helps you do the cleanse safely, but it keeps you focused on the task and combats boredom).

Wishing you success!!
