I found using fizzy water (sodium free/unflavored) helped a lot with getting more lemonade down. I was otherwise starving myself to avoid drinking the lemonade and just having water. Sometimes you just want a different taste/texture. I also found that sometimes using limes instead of lemon really helped. In the colder mornings I'd even do warm/hot water and sipped it like it was a spicy tea and in the summer I'd blend the lemonade up with ice like a slushy.
