So this is maybe my fourth or fifth attempt at the master cleanse. The longest I did it was 7 days and lost about 7 lbs. The other times I attempted I last a day or two. This is the most successful I have been so far - I'm on day 6 and feelings great. I wanted to wait until I built up enough consecutive days before posting again :lol:

So I went back and read my diary from the previous time I did the cleanse for 7 days. Each entry read something like "this is so hard" and "this is my last day". This time I feel so much more motivated; I'm not even considering quitting before the 10 days. My goal is to go 20 days and I think I can do it. But one day at a time.

So I've weighed myself daily and only lost about 2 lbs, which is .2 lbs higher than my lowest weight a couple weeks ago when I was doing low carb. So the scale really isn't reflecting my efforts but I am not letting it deter me. Also I think the PMS may be offsetting my loss. But I put the scale away and I won't weigh myself again until the first 10 days are over. But I am losing inches around my midsection which is good.

I have to make sure I drink enough lemonade because I get really hungry. Friday night was the hardest! I caved and ate a couple spoons of salsa and 5 pepperoni. I ate a handful of cheez it crackers yesterday; not because I was hungry, but because I wanted to eat something. No more cheating for me.

I have to up my water intake because I noticed on Saturday that I didn't go to the bathroom nearly as much. As soon as I started drinking water yesterday I was constantly running to the bathroom.

Overall, I feel great. I really want to push myself to 20 days not just for the weight loss but for the benefits of resetting my eating habits. When I came off the last cleanse it was so much easier for me to eat better, and eat less. Doing the cleanse helps me to realize that eating makes me more hungry. I think about food less while doing the cleanse than when I am eating normal food and cutting my calories.

Day 6. My weight loss has been soooo slow- nothing like last time where I was down 6 lbs by now, and then stalled. I'm still hoping PMS is to blame, but I'm staying motivated and will continue through the entire 20 days. I'm increasing my water intake, but I'm not drinking enough of the lemonade. I'm usually done at three bottles; I think it's a combination of the lack of hunger, and being tired of the drink.

14 days to go.

Day 7. First day of my period and hoping to shed some water weight and see some movement on the scale.

I'm just drinking my second bottle of lemonade at 1pm because I'm just not very hungry.

I'm proud of myself for making it this far; last time I did the cleanse I quit after 7 days.
