Alright, it is 9:10am and I have been awake about 1 and a half hours now (after only 4 hours sleep, argh). I left home this morning without so much as a glass of water (I am... such an idiot.) and I'm now sitting in the town library, comparing prices on maple syrup, lemons and sea salt in all the big supermarkets in the city (I'm also a geek
). To all the UK cleansers out there: ASDA are by far the cheapest on everything, go there!
Obviously this means that I haven't done so much as had a glass of lemonade or done the saltwater flush because I didn't buy my ingredients yet. Foolish, but there you go.
That's why I'm out now. I have to walk all the way home afterwards (45 minute walk) (in the rain....) and then I will gulp down a lemonade before I take the dog out for a walk.
Then the real hard work begins.
I have an impressive track record of, out of maybe 30 attempts, only going past day 1 twice.
So last night when I couldn't sleep, I grabbed a notebook and scribbled down everything I was thinking in relation to the cleanse:
- Take it one day at a time. Just get through today for now. Then just get through tomorrow. And then the next day. And the next. And so on.
- Don't put off drinking the lemonade. That's been my cause of failure many times because I have gone up to 4pm without drinking one at all and therefore I've just caved.
- Don't skip the SWF unless you really have to, otherwise the toxins floating around your body will make you feel cruddy.
- Look at this as only 10 days of your life. It's a tiny tiny fraction.
Okay, well I already have a headache since I didn't drink water yet (and I'm hungry, woot!) so I'm going to leave you all for now and go and buy my shiz. Report back soon (hopefully!).
