Hey everyone,

I am on day 16 of my current MC and having a really great time. Things have been going really smoothly since the beginning and I feel confident that I can make it to 30 but I am taking this day by day still. I sometimes think about 40 days but I don't want to get overwhelmed! The longest cleanse I have ever done was 25 days.

I am down 17 pounds today which is great. I feel so much thinner and I am fitting into all of my clothes, and some are too big! My weight loss slowed down last week but then sped up during the weekend. Each weekend has been like that so far and I think it is because I am getting more sleep. I seem to go at least a pound down every morning if I get at least 9 hours of sleep.

I feel almost normal most of the time which has helped me out at work since I need to focus and concentrate a lot.

WOW! You sound like you are doing great! I have finished my 1st day - haha. Hanging in there! I'm aimimg for 20 days, then a week break and then another 20 days! Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for swinging by Josie:) What is the one week break for, a trip? Congrats on day 1! You can definitely stick to it if you set your mind to it.

Single-mindedness really helps! This can be a tough cleanse mentally because it is pretty anti-social to fast since so many things are based around eating and drinking. There is so much time to think though, which kind of gives me a rest to just think about my life and goals, and I have really enjoyed that.

I definitely look forward to eating but it hasn't been at the forefront of my thoughts lately. I can now be really close to food, enjoying the smells of it, etc, but feeling real temptation.

I did not weigh in this morning but I will when I get home or tomorrow morning. I have a body-fat and muscle mass measuring scale and it is good to see that my body fat is dropping though this fast and not muscle. Some muscle weight dropped in the beginning, but that is probably because we retain water in our muscles, and the first few days we lose water weight.

I think I will do the same. 10 days then see how it goes... or maybe stop after my green tongue returns to pink.

Did you experience the same? When did your tongue return to pink?

I think giving yourself the weekend to enjoy coming off the plan is a good idea.
