Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

Today is my first day, and first time doing the MC. I am a little nervous as to how my body is going to react. My goal is to try to loose at least 15 pounds while doing this for 10 days. I am really looking for some support and pointers as to what I can do to make sure I reach my goal. So far the morning has started well and I am just trying to get used to the taste, but I am suprisingly not hungry yet. I would appreciate any buddies to help walk me through this!!

hi there! i am in the same boat as you, today is my first day too! i read and researched this online and several of my friends have been on it with sucess...so hopefully it will work for us too! the taste of the lemonade gets some getting used to, but overall, i feel good. i want to lose 10-15 lbs as well! good luck to us both!

Good luck on your first cleanse. Let me know if I can give any help or advice-- not that I'm an expert, but going through it for a second time, I may be of some help. One thing I can tell you is that trying to loose 15 pounds in 10 days is maybe not the right way to look at it. Sure, you will loose some weight in 10 days, but there's no magical guarantee how much will come off, and you have to factor in that some of it is water weight and will come back on whenever you come off the cleanse. I just don't want you to set unrealistic expectations for yourself and feel disappointed! Last cleanse, I weighed everyday, and as many people on the forums will tell you, your mood about the cleanse can feel tethered to your weight. This time around, I decided not to weigh at all until at least day 7, and I'm having a really easy, positive cleanse. You aren't a number on the scale-- you're your whole body, inside and out-- remember that!

I completely agree with Katie - if you're setting a goal of 151bs in 10 days you may be disappointed if theweight doesn'tcome off so quickly. I've been weighing myself every day and, even though I feel great, my mood is affected by the scales - I don't like it at all and am thinking of stopping the daily weigh-ins and concentrate on how I'm feeling.

Even though the cleanse is, for the vast majority of people, very much about weight-loss, I think obsessing about it can lead topeople stopping before they would if there were no scales.
