Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

My best friend (roommate) and I have just started the Master Cleanse on Monday of this week, September 27th, 2010, and so far so good! I have to admit the first couple days were awful! I was fully expecting the symptoms that come along with the cleanse when you first start out but man oh man, was I ready to quit that first day if it weren’t for her. It’s been so awesome having a support buddy as well as having so many people on the YouTube weight-loss community supporting me . The only thing I was wondering is…WHEN WILL THE CRAVINGS STOP!? Haha, not to be dramatic but I can’t stop thinking about food. I’ll admit sometimes I’m not even “hungry” and all I can think about is eating a giant veggie burrito. I hope the cravings don’t last too much longer, it’s very torturing. So how is everyone else doing?

Hi Laura, i lost my cravings for foods somewhere on day 6-7. I guess it's different for everyone. I'm gonna do my 2nd round of MC next week. Hope everything goes well for u! Hang in there! U can do it!

How long did you do the MC?

I only did it for 10 days. But i'm gonna try to prolong it in my next round. Probably 20 days or more.

You know what's funny? I was planning on doing only 10 days originally as well, but now that I'm on the 7th day I don't want to stop yet. I know my body still has a lot more detoxification to go, and I know I can push through to 21 days if not 40. Just hoping that there aren't any terrible side effects from going the full 40--that hair-loss everyone keeps on talk about doesn't sound too appealing

Hi Losing Laura, I am on Day 10 and yes I had food cravings until lastnight......I watched my husband and my mother eat lasagna and didn't even care. Today I am not in the least bit hungry. If I feel weird and start envisioning food, I drink a large glass of water or have another lemonade and I find that really helps. The key is to have alot of water and at least 6-8 glasses of lemonade minimum per day. That will hold back the cravings......but for sure it has taken me up to Day 9 to get a real hold on things.
