Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

I'm starting the diet today in an effort to lose about 20lbs in 10 days. I just want to hear more success stories other than just reports of Beyonce's success with it. For those of you who don't know, the Master Cleanse diet consists of just drinking a mixture of fresh lemon juice, grade b maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Supposedly after drinking this alone for 10 days, you will receive optimal results.

wait, thats it? for the entire day for 10days, just lemon juice with syrup and pepper?

im sorry--this isnt really an answer but when i read that i was shocked. i just joined not even half an hour ago and im still somewhat lost on everything. is that really all we're consuming?

Yes....thats all we consume. Im new to this to and Im kinda scared a bit.

@Trravis....Yes this is true. I started the cleanse Jan. 13, 2011 - Jan. 22nd (10 days) and I lost 17.8 lbs. I allowed my body to rest and gain 5lbs back so now I am back on it..It can happen. I got on the treadmill for 30 mins. per day...Try it you will see....

Reading the book by Stanley about the Master Cleanse will give you the reassurance you need right now. I have done 40 days(Oct-Nov 2010) on the Cleanse, and yes you lose the weight! However the benefits of the detox process to your body are numerous and everyone has a unique experience. I recommend you read through the Master Cleanse Success Stories on the forum, you will find answers to most of your questions and fears at the moment.

@ Newme160, the book recommends doing the Cleanse at least 3 times in a year, which implies you give your body 3-4 months rest, so it might be too soon for you to begin another cleanse. your body will always regain back some pounds after you break the fast, the key is did you change your diet after the Cleanse or are still eating the same foods as before?

@jam0775 ... Yes I did change my eating habits. I could not eat sweets at all like I use to. I had no big cravings anymore. I had to give my body a rest because I got sick and the liquids kept my throat hurting. Why I don't know.....but I am excited about doing this next 10 days.......Let's get'em...

Between water weight and waste a certain amount of regained weight is inevitable. Five pounds is really not bad. Looks like your dietary changes were starting you down the right road, newme.

@papillonrouge...Tks...Yes I can feel the change and I def. notice it when I tried to eat sweets. I just couldn't consume as much and I almost actually felt a lil sick....
