Post subject: 3rd day and going strong!

Morning...

So it is early on my 3rd day of the cleanse, I think I wanted to wait to start journaling until I knew I'd make it ;) This is my 4th cleanse, I am aiming for 10-14 days. My last cleanse was 10 days.

So the 1st 2 days were smooth, other than the "hunger". But truly, as the book says, it is not real hunger, but cravings. Because if I imagined eating a big salad or my regular breakfast fruit smoothie, I was uninterested. But a bacon double cheeseburger with tons of fries- now there is where drool started flowing! And that isn't anything I normally eat, but I sure wanted it!

Now today I am feeling more tired than usual but not "hungry" or craving at all. Again going with the book, the 3-4 days, and 7-8 days are the hardest; don't let anyone tell ya different. Because knowing that going into it and knowing it is normal, really helps. I would suggest especially for 1st timers to start the cleanse on a Thursday, so their 3-4 days are on the weekend and not at work. I'll explain why:

So entering the 3rd day, I am feeling the detox heavily. Sinuses cleansing, feeling old injuries aching and releasing, and the emotional cleanse coming on. (My husband always knows when day 3 or 4 hits, I am crying or laughing at seemingly nothing all day long!) I feel introverted and reflective, lots of "life thinking" going on. Intense emotions. And it is, though potentially draining, all really positive. Because it is all stuff that needs to flow that we are trained to hold in early on, which is often the cause of more physical harm than we know. Emotional blockage leads to physical blockage, pain, disease, etc. So I embrace the challenge of this inner soul detox, and would encourage you all to do so as well. However, with this in mind, see why I suggest being at home instead of weeping in your cubicle? ;)

Take care, I'll check in tomorrow!

In solidarity, in health-

Maple Mama
