Made it through Day 1! Oddly enough, it was harder to deal with hunger when I was at home (when no one's watching) than it was working at the restaurant. Got off my shift and took a short drive before going home to settle myself so I wouldn't throw it all away at the end and dip into the pantry. Called my boyf as I refilled my LEM and passed through the kitchen and let him talk me to sleep as I sipped LEM by my bed.
Had some pretty gnarly stomach cramps in the middle of the night, but was able to get back to sleep and have a BM in the morning. The peppermint tea I got was supposed to help with elimination and it did! Just have to watch that the intake is no more than 2 cups per day.
Have a full day, but need to get some light running and stretching in. I can already feel some stress relieved in my body and some shrinkage. Perhaps it's all in my head, but it is motivation to keep going.
Shiva mentioned having a mantra for the cleanse...I've decided on BE PRESENT. So much of my relationship with food is about escape...about finding comfort in consumption rather than existence...about running from growing responsibilities and the changes of life. My intention is for this mantra to help me with other ways that I find to run away from the moment.
