Hello everyone, I posted on another thread about how I was going to get started on the cleanse. My last experience of anything of this type being years ago when I fasted (water only) for 14 days - appetite came back. So inspired by PD & others that here is my account of the Master Cleanse, I'm hoping to lose some weight & get a jump start on eating healthier, but I sure do love that BEEF!
31Aug - my syrup arrived. Yea! Then spoke with my friend who told me about Master Cleanse & he is on his 4th day (with modifications - he's outside in 130 F heat all day) so he added mushroom soup, but said he felt okay and said he's even been doing cardio and also did some strength training for about 20 minutes. Said he's going to try to go 10 days. Then warned me that it was going to be difficult.
Stopped by the store to pick up the rest of supplies and also to get stuff for my last "real" meal. Stuffed myself with shrimp scampi, pepsi & toblerone candy. Then in my usual fine fashion, had the herbal tea right before I went to bed. Bowel movements up to this point has been around 2 a day, putting in a lot of roughage with veggie stirfry for lunch.
DAY 1 - Woke up late for getting ready to leave for work. Don't you know I was working down the excuse list so that I could start MC on another day. After all, one day later won't hurt. Woke up too late, have to get ready for work, nothing's ready.......blah blah blah blah blah. In the end I went ahead and fixed the salt water drink for breakfast....UGGGGH. Don't know how some of you chug it down. It was all I could do to get ALL of it down, but I did it. Not looking forward to that every morning. I am going to try to make at least 10 or until my appetite comes back. When I did the water fast years ago my appetite left at day 3 and on day 14 automatically came back so I stopped. Will see if the lemonade makes any difference. Had a BM right before I left the house for work. Herbal tea kicked in as it was very watery. My drive to work is 30 minutes, sure hope I can make it because there is no place nice in between I want to stop for an emergency bathroom run.
Arrived at work carrying all my lemonade drink supplies : ), didn't have to do a bathroom stop. Had a brisk walk for almost 20 minutes. Stopped by the medic & weighed in....Arrrgh! Had some water & around 7:00 I was a little hungry so had my 1st glass of lemonade....this I could chug down, wasn't bad. I must have put too much cayenne because it was HOT! How much is 1/10th anyway.
Craving potato chips, tuna fish sandwiches, anything solid, just want to eat.....better go fix more lemonade - glass 2
