Ingredients

* 1 pound ground beef
* 4 cups chicken broth
* 4 cups water
* 2 (1 ounce) packages dry onion soup mix
* 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
* 2 stalks celery, chopped
* 1 onion, chopped
* 1 (16 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
* 3/4 cup elbow macaroni

Directions

1. In a saute pan, brown ground beef, over medium heat.
2. In a large stock pot, combine broth, water, onion soup mix, tomato sauce, celery, onion, frozen vegetables and macaroni. Bring to a boil and then simmer until macaroni is done.
3. Add browned ground beef, mix and serve.

Cabbage soup diet is a very low calorie diet. It is highly recommended by some Dieticians in order to get quick results. It is considered as fad diet or diet that is usually refers to eating patterns that promote short term weight loss. Cabbage soup diet claimed that this diet will make individual lose 10 pounds of weight in a week.


The cabbage soup diet works. But always keep in mind that it may only be done for 7 days. In order to be successful with cabbage soup diet, you must follow the diet strictly. Drinking at least 4-8 glasses of water is recommended per day. It is also advisable to take supplements or complete multivitamin tablet to complement cabbage soup diet. There are many different versions of cabbage soup diet. Below are some steps that you need to follow cabbage soup diet:

On the first day of Cabbage soup diet, it is advisable to consume all the fruit you want except banana, and eat all the cabbage soup you can eat. It is said that the more cabbage soup you eat, the more weight you will lose. Make sure to drink plenty of zero calorie drinks such as water, black coffee, cranberry juice, unsweetened tea and diet soda
On the second day of Cabbage soup diet, it is recommended in this diet to eat all fresh, raw or cooked vegetables of your choice together with cabbage soup. It is ideal to consume green leafy vegetables and big baked potato with butter. It is not recommended to eat dry beans, corn, peas and fruits
On the third day of Cabbage soup diet, it is advisable to incorporate the essentials found in the first day and second day. This means you can eat vegetables and fruits all you want with cabbage soup. It is not recommended to eat baked potato.
On the fourth day of Cabbage soup diet, it is recommended to consume a lot of bananas and drink a lot of skim milk along with cabbage soup. Fresh fruits like berries and other high fiber choices can also be eaten. This day is supposed to lessen the desire for sweets like candy and chocolate.
On the fifth day of Cabbage soup diet, it is advisable to eat low fat and high protein food such as lean beef and skinless chicken together with cabbage soup. 10 to 20 ounces of beef and 6 tomatoes is ideal in this day. Chicken can be eaten broiled or baked. It is also advisable to drink at least 7 to 9 glasses of water a day to wash uric acid from the body.
On the sixth day of Cabbage soup diet, it is recommended to consume beef and vegetables with 1 cup of cabbage soup. It is also possible to eat 2 to 3 steaks with your green leafy vegetables. Baked potato is not recommended on this day.
On the seventh day of Cabbage soup diet, it is advisable to eat all that you want brown rice with unlimited cabbage soup and non starch vegetables. It is also possible to drink unsweetened drink and fresh juices.

Wow, I just love all these soup recipes. We have to be very careful which ones we follow. People doing a cleanse or trying to lose weight should probably stay away from fried items in their soup and items like flour, milk and oats. :(

I make a lot of soup. My basic veggie soup recipe ...

Carrots
Onions
Garlic
Broccoli
Potatoes
Celery
Mushrooms
Salt
Pepper

I add other veggies too, when available... such as cauliflower or brussel sprouts.

I guess you could say I like to keep it simple. I like the natural flavors of the veggies without a lot of herbs added.
