I'm interested in going raw, and want to know if people have a favorite cookbook? I'm really into pictures of the food, but if someone has a book without pictures that they swear by, I just might trust them |

I like "Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 people" By Jennifer Cornbleet. It's especially good for beginners, because she doesn't use any crazy ingredients that are hard to get your hands on, and she doesn't make crazy big portions. It has a few pictures, but I think you also have the option of buying a DVD to go with it that shows prep for the recipes. Some of the DVD is on youtube, too. |

K, You can also go to www.YouTube.com and type in raw food recipes. There are tons and tons of recipe demonstrations there. Also, I agree with Ana that Jennifer Cornbleet is a great raw foodist to follow for recipes. She has clear and concise demonstrations on her website: http://www.learnrawfood.com/easyrecipes.htm |

Hey there KCaldwell, all of the above is great advice and Jennifer Cornbleet's uncooking books are great. Please check out the raw food resource sticky above. ^^^ I posted some information about books, videos, etc. I've been raw for 3 years. Good luck on your journey. You're in for a wonderful time. Alissa Cohen's Living on Live food is a great resource...tons of recipes and easy to follow, great photos/testimonials. Good value for the money. Crystal |
