I have tried and tried the MC and I just don't have the discipline to stay on- I admit I'm a failure in that regard. I break down when my family goes out to eat or I have to fix food for them. I have GOT to find something that will work for me long-term, and I've decided to try raw with some realistic fail-safes built in so that I don't just up and quit like it's a diet. I don't need a diet- but I desparately need a lifestyle change.
I HAVE to do something to feel better and heal my body and for weight loss so I'm going to do raw as much as I possibly can. For me, this means I'm going to plan for doing raw, I'm going to prepare my raw food, and I'm going to eat my raw food in every situation I can. I plan to work HARD at it. There will be no excuse when I'm at work to run across to the snack shop and grab a quick hamburger because I will have my healthy salad that I prepared that morning. And when my family goes out to eat like life requires at times, I'm going to stick to as much raw as possible-a huge change for me. I expect most days to be 100% raw even if we go out to eat because lots of places have great salads. But when I have those occasions that make it very difficult to do 100% raw- like team parties and church events- I'm not going to kill myself over not being able to do raw. I'm going to make very smart choices like eating as much veggies and fruits as possible while limiting quantities of processed stuff. And if I'm taking a dish, I'll make it a vegetable and fruit tray we can all enjoy and that will make it easier on me.
My son's football practice starts in just 2 weeks and it's not long until football time in Tennessee- and I want to enjoy this season instead of huffing and puffing wherever I go.
