I am still on my master cleanse, but once through with it I plan on maintaining a mostly raw-food diet. I love having a cup of black tea with a teaspoon or so of milk in it, and I don't think I'm willing to give that up! I know that there is soy milk and rice milk out there-- has any one had either or both? Which do you prefer? |

Hi Boyds: I have had them both. Rice milk (to me) was TERRIBLE! It tasted like the starch you pour off of the rice after you wash it. Well, I've never actually tasted it, but it sure looked like that and it tasted terrible. The soy milk was much thicker and tasted pretty good cold. At our local organic store, they have free coffee every day and give customers a choice of soy milk or dairy milk. I usually see most people grabbing the soy milk. It's pretty good. MUCH better than rice milk and more of the consistency of regular milk. |

I love almond milk! I also really like soy too, but there's been a lot of information surface on how it might not be the safest thing for you.. or the planet. |

Almond milk is DEFINITELY the way to go. I switched to it about 6 months ago. I am lactose-intolerant, and I was concerned about the hormones from too much soy, although occasionally I enjoy a soy latte (and LOVe tofu!). The plain almond milk only has 60 cals per serving too. One of my favorite uses of it is in a simple green smoothie: almond milk + banana + spinach. AMAZING. You'll love it. |
