Thanks Mark, though I still don't know which oil to use. haha. That is my whole question. These sites have great information, but they are inconsistent. Some of them have similar information but some of them do not. Which is really confusing. |

I was wondering the same thing. I've been trying to eat a lot healthier since my first cleanse and when I cook I usually use olive oil, but now all those reports have me a little confused. |

Coconut oil helps weight loss by utilizing and burning more fat.It is an excellent oil and can be used in baking and cooking. As far as how much coconut oil we should consume daily, depending upon our personal needs and taste for the oil. It's good to consult a dietitian. |

Coconut oil is one of the most dangerous oils to use for cooking. This I am seeing as a fact from most of the information I am reading. |

Dalda is a city in India or Pakistan (?) and the company makes at least a couple oils, palm and soybean. Soybean has Omega-3 fatty acids and some other qualities that likely make it the healthiest, but that's all I know. I don't know about soybean for high heat cooking. I use grapeseed and sesame oil mostly; grapeseed has a high smoke point, so you can use high heats. I use other oils for flavor or delicacy of flavor, like sunflower or almond. Walnut oil is great on salads. I use olive oil for cooking when it will enhance the flavor of what is being cooked, like Italian of course. Don't eat unsaturated fats. In any event, you're going to run into controversy just about whatever topic you pick, be it cooking oils, vitamin C, the Master Cleanse, God, or politics. Make the best choice you can and don't sweat it. Heck, we still gotta breathe the air (particularly if you live in the city) and you know that's not healthy. All we can do is the best we can based on the information that is available, then trust in God or Goddess, or the Universe, or yourself; your choice. Oh, and thanks for all the links jt. Bon Appetit! |
