| Post subject: | Wheat Grass |
Shivabliss once said that we can drink wheat grass while on the cleanse, but I have some questions. How much can we drink per day if we need it and when to drink it, before or after the lemonade? And what brands are recommended that do not have a lot of garbage in them? I would prefer to make my own, but I don't have time to grow the grass this time around. |

Fresh is best because it is live food, can get it at most health food stores and some grocery stores if you can not grow... Frozen is second best, last is power... Can be gotten fresh squeezed at some health food stores and at places like Jamba Juice... Jamba Juice sometimes will want to give you a slice of orange with the wheat grass, it is best taken alone... Best to do wheat grass on an empty stomach, start out with one shot a day...It has detox properties so ease in to it slowly... It will give you an energy boost so do not take too late in the day or you will be up half the night... Wheat grass is high in chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes just to mention a few of the benefits... |

Thanks for your reply healingbear. This is the one I bought, http://www.maderaw.com/wheat-grass-powder.html, it is powder, but it is what I can get so... It may not be the best, but at least it is something. Should I still ease into it? I will be taking it with the cleanse so I need to be sure it is not going to restart my digestive system in the middle. I tried to find the most vegan one I could, and this is what I found. I am worried they put something else in it that shouldn't be there, but this one looks decent... |

Start out slow by doing one serving of your wheat grass in the morning... Do this for a couple of days and see how you feel... The power version is not as potent as the fresh squeezed so listen to your body and increase if needed to two.... Just be careful not to do it too late in your day it can keep you awake late... If you have a chance to do a shot of fresh squeezed, you will feel the difference... Wheat grass does not mess with your digestive system while on the MC... Just do not add and juices that would activate your digestive system... I sometimes add a pinch of cayenne pepper... I have been using from Starwest Botanicals in Rancho Cordova, CA for many years when I am not growing it... |
