I didn't even know what a cacao tree looked like and it's quite fascinating.

What are your long-term goals?

Are you doing the Master Cleanse to jump start a new way of life or are you wanting to crash diet to prepare your new sexy body for an event? There is no judgment on either, however if you sincerely want to make significant long-lasting lifestyle changes and improve your way of eating it helps to have your long-range plans in sight before you even begin your fast. This really comes into play when you hit road blocks during your fast, you can flip the motivation switch back on by thinking about your goals and remembering what you’re about to accomplish. It works.

Many people do very well on the cleanse, only to find themselves back to square one and their old eating habits shortly after they begin eating solid food again. They may make great food choices for a few weeks and then somehow find themselves taking steps backwards. If this happens to you, don't beat yourself up. Just focus on where you want to be and eventually you will be there when you're ready.

Knowing the types of foods you may want to consume post cleanse and learning more about nutrition, how your organs function and your unique, individual body’s needs helps tremendously. It is possible to achieve your goals, very possible. It starts with you.

In my case, I began to learn about alkaline forming foods. I first heard about them in 2004 in passing conversation with a friend. I had not heard the term before and it peaked my curiosity. I began more research and what I discovered really blew my mind. It’s quite simple and this is my interpretation -- an alkaline body keeps you healthy and helps you maintain a super strong immune system while an acidic body is a breeding ground for dis-ease and feeling un-well.

Most Americans and other westerners have acidic bodies based on the foods that we eat, especially our national pastime favorites. I was really surprised that some of my favorite foods that I thought were “healthyâ€Â

Cleaning your Body & Cleaning your Environment = Being Green

We all know how much of a commitment it takes to complete a master cleanse. The end result can bring so many unexpected benefits, aside from weight loss, glowing skin and feeling energized. The most important aspect I believe is clearing the toxins from the body, tissues and cells that can inhibit healthy functioning and can even be a breeding ground for future physiological complications or disease.

So we’ve worked this well on ourselves to clear the toxins from our body, but inadvertently we’re still inundated with toxic products that we use in our daily lives without thinking.

The skin being one of the major eliminatory organs also absorbs a great deal of material through the skin and many of the common household products we use are extremely toxic.

For example, there is a considerable amount of aluminum in deodorant. Aluminum is not only a common skin irritant; it is also a poisonous neurotoxin that accumulates in the body. It has also been linked to breast cancer due to introducing it into the lymph nodes under the arms on a regular basis. So just think about this, as you’re cleansing and clearing your body of toxins on the MC and still using a popular brand of deodorant, you’re more than likely reintroducing a harmful toxin into your body.

I’ve personally been gradually switching products over the past 5 years and I’m just about 100% green. You can find these products in your local natural health store or food co-op or just by googling for alternatives. But I highly recommend finding a local store and then you can ask the salesperson questions directly. The last frontier with me is with my mascara! I just can’t give it up, but I’m searching for a green replacement. I started with my toiletries, and to be honest I couldn’t do it at first with the deodorant. I couldn’t find a natural brand of deodorant that worked for me. But as you may discover for yourself, the more toxic you are the more… well, the funkier you can get to put it bluntly! As you cleanse and become less toxic, there will be fewer putrid odors being emitted from your pores, especially the lymph nodes and sweat glands. So subsequently, you may get to a point where you don’t require deodorant at all. But that may be a stretch! I still use it, but I’ve switched to a brand that contains no aluminum.

I’ve also completely stopped using cosmetic products containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which you can find in many hair cleaning products, cosmetic cleaners, bath and shower gels, soaps, lotions and other similar products. The day I found out about this chemical I went into my bathroom and threw out every product that contained this chemical…it was hard because as you know we can become very attached to our favorite cosmetic products that work for us, especially us ladies! ha. But I knew I had to let them go for my overall health. I presently only purchase organic and natural cleaning products for my skin, hair and body. Do your own research on this, but what I discovered is sodium lauryl sulfate is a skin irritant and potentially hazardous and harmful to the skin and hair. It cleans by corrosion and dries the skin by stripping protective lipids from the surface, thereby making it difficult for your skin and body to regulate moisture. And that’s just some of what is harmful with this chemical, this is just a short list.

Then I moved onto household cleaning products. I was no different than anyone else and probably had 20 different kinds of toxic cleaning products under my kitchen sink. Now I just have one or two. I use Simple Green and Seventh Generation cleaning products now. I use them for everything and they work really well. What I love about these products is that they’re completely non-toxic and are in biodegradable containers. After using these products for the past several years if I enter a home where let’s say a popular, commercial cleaner is being used, I have a hard time with it. I can smell the toxic fumes and I experience trouble breathing.

I won’t bore you with my entire journey with becoming Green. There are so many ways to do get there and you can start with baby steps. I specifically wanted to bring this up regarding the products we use on our skin and breathe into our bodies because it defeats the purpose if you’re cleansing the inside of your body but reintroducing toxins through the skin and lungs. At least I think so.

The other bonus of becoming green is we are helping the environment and ourselves at the same time. Restoring our health and ensuring the well being of the earth we inhabit is a win-win situation I believe.

What can you do?

Fortunately, there are several things you can do to minimize your exposure to toxins as well as getting them out of your body. The first, of course, is to be aware that toxins exist and have an effect on your health. Go online to scorecard.org and find out who’s polluting your neighborhood. Next…

[list]• Eliminate these items from your diet: all artificial ingredients, soda pop, margarine, hydrogenated fats, partially hydrogenated fats, decaf coffee (unless organic), NutraSweet, MSG, refined sugar and junk foods

• Buy and eat only organically grown foods

• Switch over to only natural personal care products. This take some homework, but fortunately, there are a few good sources to read, including Kim Erickson’s Drop Dead Gorgeous, the Safe Shopper’s Bible, and A Consumer’s Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients.

• Stop using poisonous cleaners in your home. Don’t use bleach, chlorine, ammonia or other unnatural chemicals. You’d be surprised how well water and elbow grease works.

• Don’t have your home and office sprayed on a regular basis for insects. You get poisoned every time you do.

• Read all food labels on products. If there is the name of a chemical on the label, find out what it is before you eat it.

• Buy an electric, hybrid or fuel-efficient vehicle and stop adding to world pollution

• Don’t live near a factory or incinerator

This book is really good and this guy studied with Stanley Burroughs, has completed 1000 cleanses himself and he expands on the original text and brings it current. He answers many of the questions and then some that aren't necessarily covered in the original text. So I highly recommend this book if you're seriously considering cleansing or would just like to broaden your knowledge base on the subject.


    Here are just some of the interesting things I learned per the author:

    1) Meyers lemons should not be used for the master cleanse. Meyers lemons are a cross between a true lemon and a mandarin orange so they're not good to use for the MC. Oranges restart your digestive system number one. Number two, meyers lemons don't have the full enzymatic cleansing power of regular lemons. I actually purchased a few and when I ran out, I picked up some regular lemons. So this is good to know...I had no idea. You can also use limes to switch up. Sometimes I even mix my drinks with both lemon and lime juice for a change.

    2) The enzymes in lemons that are released when you juice them only last for 10 minutes. He recommends squeezing your lemons as you make your juice and to the drink your lemonade as soon as possible. I'm just sharing this for general knowledge. Truthfully, I squeeze my lemon juice in the morning for the day and store it in a dark container out of sunlight to retain as much of the enzymes as possible. On the same subject, it is not a good idea to make a gallon batch for example because you really lose a lot of the enzyme strength when you do so. I make about 2-3, 10 oz drinks at one time. I put them in a lidded mug with a straw.

    3) This is my own...not from the book. It's good to drink the lemonades from a straw because all of that sugar from the maple syrup can corrode your teeth enamel. So I both drink it from a straw and brush my teeth at least 2-3 times per day.

    4) Your cayenne pepper should be a deep red or orange and organic. It's best if kept in a cool, dark place. The pepper breaks up the mucus in your lungs and colon. The more you become tolerant of it the better, as it will dislodge more mucus. I'm up to 1-2 tsp per drink now with no problems and I notice a difference when I increase it...there's more mucus exiting my body.

    5) Water, water, water. There's always a question about which type of water to use on the MC. The author discusses this and states "try to use water that is free of impurities or chemicals added by water treatment facilities. The Master Cleanse is designed to alkalinize your body, so it's important that you learn the pH level of the water source you will be using. Water for cleansing or drinking is best when the pH level is 7.0 or slightly higher". He goes onto state that you can purchase the strips which I talked about earlier in this thread, to test the water.

    Distilled water should not be used. Distilled water is considered "cooked". "The distillation process boils off oxygen as it is dissolved and removes any useful trace minerals which are naturally found in water."

    He doesn't really say anything about purified or spring water. But I use both. He does state water which has gone through the reverse osmosis process is not necessarily the best, but can be used. At least this is my interpretation. Of all the information in the book, this was the most ambiguous information and I wish he would've spoken more about spring water, etc. But oh well, don't sweat the small stuff and just make sure you're at least not drinking tap water for your cleanse. I think that's probably common sense.

    For anyone not familiar, here's the simple recipe for the master cleanse:

    2 tablespoons of fresh squeezed organic lemon juice
    2 tablespoons of grade B maple syrup
    1/10 of a tsp, organic cayenne pepper (increase as tolerated)
    10 oz of water


    Have 6-12, 10 oz glasses per day. A minimum of 6 drinks per day is recommended. Eight glasses is preferable. It is a misconception that if you drink less than 6 drinks you will speed your weight loss. You defeat the purpose of the cleanse when you do this. Rather to reduce, simply reduce the amount of maple syrup you use. Instead of 2 tbs per drink, use 1. Don't worry about weight loss, it's inevitable anyway if you're fasting. Focus on the overall healing that is taking place in your body instead. It's critical to get at least 6 drinks in per day to keep up your metabolism, get the proper mineral balance and to fully benefit from the cleansing action. The lemon/syrup combination really goes to work at night when you're asleep, so it's important to get as much of the drink as possible into your system. Getting a good amount of rest each evening is very important also for the same reason.

    To make the SWF which you drink first thing in the morning you'll need:

    32 oz of water
    2 teaspoons of uniodized sea salt

    Put in a container with a lid, shake it up and drink it within 15-20 minutes. It works within 90 minutes to 2 hours. Everyone experiences the SWF differently and it may take less time to circulate fully through your colon. It is important to consume these measurements (32 oz of water w/ 2 tsp) as they mirror exactly the consistency of your blood. This is why the water doesn't flow to your kidneys and the salt isn't absorbed in your colon and body. It literally flushes out your colon which you may come to appreciate on your toughest detox days. The more toxins that are floating around in your bloodstream, the crappier and more tired you're going to feel. The SWF helps tremendously with this as well as drinking half your body weight in water daily, if not more when you're fasting. The water requirement is in addition to the daily lemonades. It's important to continually flush your system.

    Many people experience the SWF as an unwelcome part of the cleansing process, but it's actually very important because it flushes out the toxins. Many people give up or quit because they're tired or feeling awful. Well one of the reasons for this is because you're not properly clearing the toxins from your body that you've activated by drinking the lemonades. If you cannot tolerate the SWF, you must drink the senna tea in the a.m. when you rise and in the p.m. when you go to bed. You should be eliminating at least twice per day or more.

    Your senna tea should be steeped as follows for maximum benefit:

    Steep 8oz of water & your tea bag in a covered teacup for 10-15 minutes. It's important to cover the cup to fully release the laxative power of the tea.

    Don't exceed 30 minutes or you will experience very painful cramping which is not pleasant. Been there, done that. :)

    Remember: The tea loosens the debris, impacted waste and mucus located in your colon and on the walls of your colon. The SWF flushes them out - they work as a team in tandem. If you don't flush properly, you may experience being cranky or feeling very tired on top of regular detox symptoms.

With regard to breaking your fast basically you do the following:

1) on the night before you break your fast have your senna tea

2) you do not need to do the SWF in the morning, you're finished (edit: actually this is up to you, some people do one more flush before drinking the orange juice

3) squeeze your oranges, dilute with water if needed, take 2-3 probiotics with first glass pf orange juice and 1 or 2 with each glass thereafter (listen to your own intuition on this)

4) i generally take 2-3 pills per day with food until the bottle is gone

Probiotics contain digestive enzymes and reintroduce them to your digestive tract. With all of the flushing you're flushing out the good and bad bacteria. You can find more information about them on the internet, or just Google. You can purchase them in your local health food store. This part is very important as you will have very minimal flora in your intestines. Probiotics can be purchased in liquid or pill form.

BREAKING THE FAST:

If you've been eating a vegetarian diet you follow this regimine...

Day 1 (post cleanse)
Fresh squeezed orange juice, throughout the day

Day 2
Drink orange juice all day

Day 3
Breakfast: Orange Juice
Lunch: Fruit salad
Dinner: Fruit salad or (raw) vegetable salad
Light dressing with lemon I believe is okay.

Day 4
You can eat normally



If you've been following the standard american diet (SAD), this is how you break your fast:

First Day: Start with 4 oz. [1/8 liter] fresh squeezed orange juice mixed with 4 oz. water. If it goes well, drink several more 8 oz. [1/4 liter] glasses of fresh orange juice during the day. Sip slowly. Dilute with water if needed.

Second Day: Drink several 8 oz. [1/4 liter] glasses of orange juice during the day -- with extra water, if needed.

In the evening make a vegetable broth (no canned soup). Use seasonal leafy and root vegetables such as: beets and beet tops, turnips and turnip greens, kale, carrots, onions, parsley, celery, potatoes, okra, one or two inds of legumes, squash, beans, a little salt, cayenne pepper and dehydrated vegetables or veg. powder may be added for flavor (no MSG or hydrolyzed protein). Cook lightly. Drink the broth, eating only a few bites of the vegetables.

Third Day: Orange juice in the morning. At noon have some more soup with some of the vegetables. No meat, fish, eggs, bread, pastries or tea. For Dinner, have the vegetables in the soup.

Fourth Day: You can eat normally.

In my opinion, it is wise to introduce probiotics or digestive enzymes into your system (intestines) after the MC. Doing the SWF flushes both the good and bad bacteria or flora from your intestinal walls making it difficult to digest certain foods if you don't introduce the "good" bacteria. Stanley Burroughs does not mention them in his The Master Cleanser, however his protege Tom Woloshyn mentions it's critical to take them in his The Complete Master Cleanse. He studied directly with Stanley Burroughs and has completed over 1000 master cleanses. As an aside, I highly recommend this book for anyone who is considering using the MC to heal or lose weight and detox. He answers most, if not all of the repeated questions that I see posted here, especially the ambiguous things that weren't really answered in the first book. This book is a gold mine. I put a review of the book and some MC tips on page 6 of my thread (journey to the raw food lifestyle).

You can take the probiotics with the first glass of orange juice when you break your fast. They come in pill form or in liquid form. I use the pills and you can find probiotics in whole foods or any natural foods store. It's important to make sure they contain the "digestive enzymes" which are protease, lipase, amylase and lactase which break down proteins, fats, dairy and carbohydrates into absorbable nutritional elements. Yes our body produces these enzymes, but again you've been flushing them out daily and it's a good idea to replace them otherwise you risk experiencing gas, constipation and digestive issues. Some people can get away without taking them, but I wouldn't risk it. And it defeats the purpose in my opinion of not working yourself into a healthy eating plan after the MC. The whole point is to fine tune your engine, why not keep it going by making sure you're putting the right ingredients into your body to ensure it's operating at maximum efficiency? You wouldn't put water in your automobile's gas tank, so don't mess around with your colon.

I actually take about 5 pills with some peppermint tea the night before I break my fast, then I take 2-3 with my first glass of orange juice and continue with 1-2 pills, 3x per day with meals until the bottle is gone. Some folks take probiotics who aren't even on the master cleanse, they do help with digestion but aren't absolutely necessary probably when you have a nice stock pile of restored healthy flora in your intestines. You have to simply listen to your body and let it be your guide. If your stomach is grumbling a lot when you're eating or you feel gassy or constipated, it's a good signal that you're not digesting your food properly. This could also indicate a food allergy which is another subject. If you eat something twice and it upsets your system, there's a good chance you're probably allergic to it and it would probably be a good idea to give up that particular food.

I've completed three lengthy cleanses 30, 34 and 18 days respectively and there is no way I would risk not taking probiotics afterwards. Even with taking them I experienced a little discomfort when I ate too much food. You still need to be cautious and I personally recommend taking the probiotics and slowly working yourself back into eating solid foods and larger meals. Follow the breaking the fast routine carefully and you should be okay. Sometimes you'll feel just fine eating whatever you want after the MC, but it won't hit you until 2 weeks later when you've got a clogged colon again because you've got putrified toxic waste sitting in your colon...because it didn't digest properly due to lack of digestive enzymes. Then it's back to the MC again, lol.

I found a colorful anatomy book when I was doing my New Year's cleaning & organizing. I opened it up and it fell open to the page that describes the functions & outlines the anatomy of the intestines, pancreas, gall bladder, liver etc. ha! I thought that was funny since I'm cleansing these organs right now. What was even funnier was I actually sat down and read it. I had been dancing around cleaning, listening to my favorite music with stuff strewn all over the place as I was throwing stuff out. In the midst of this I just felt compelled to read it, medical lingo and everything.

It's nice to have a visual picture of what your organs look like and what they actually do, especially while cleansing. I think it really ramps things up. Our livers are amazing! Our entire bodies are incredible really. I mean each diagram had a zillion parts and systems contained within it. It would take a year probably to memorize all of these sub systems. (Now I know why physicians are gettin' paid.) When you put the body's systems together, wow! The liver itself is such a beautiful organ, the color of it and what it does. When your press on your abs near your chest, that's your liver, not your stomach! We are always grabbing the center of our abs when we talk about eating too much or are hungry. That's the colon, where more than likely you're feeling everything that is backed up when you eat too much or aren't digesting food properly! At least this is my interpretation, correct me if I'm wrong. Your stomach is located towards the right side, closer to your breastbone, higher up. hmmm, just makes you think. And wow, peristalsis starts when you begin chewing food as it's traveling down the esophagus. It doesn't start in the intestines. It starts from the moment the food is being broken down in your mouth with saliva. The information on the colon and how everything works together, how your small intestines move food along and absorb nutrients and minerals, proteins etc. I couldn't put this book down. Some of you probably remember all of this from your anatomy classes, somehow I forgot it. Or maybe I was paying too close attention to the cute boys at the time and never learned it! lol. It's great & helpful to study the anatomy in my opinion. Grab a book if you get a chance. Especially while you're cleansing. It will blow your mind what you're actually doing for yourself on the MC. The body is an amazing & fascinating machine!

Oil Pulling...hmmm what is it?

I've been researching Oil Pulling, whereby you put a tablespoon of sunflower, sesame or cocount oil (organic & cold pressed) in your mouth and swirl it around in your mouth for 20 minutes minimum. Before you eat anything, in the morning you do this. I think some people do it twice a day, when they wake up and when they go to bed. The oil is supposed to turn white after you swirl for awhile, absorbing toxins...you're not supposed to swallow it for this reason, because it becomes toxic. You spit it out intermittingly and then add more oil, swirl it around, spit out it out, etc. It's supposed to pull toxins from your body, makes your teeth whiter and heals any dental issues that you may have. People have been known to heal a number of ailments using this method. My teeth have been super sensitive from drinking all of that maple syrup so I'm going to try this and to see if it helps. It's also supposed to help with your skin, makes it softer, especially the soles of your feet. Update: I oil pulled for 2 months in November and December. My teeth were definately brighter and my skin became very soft. I also healed some pain in the right side of my mouth. This is a great way to whiten your teeth naturally and also pull toxins out of the body.

Just don't swallow it!

I found this book to be a great resource in looking at alternative ways to cleanse and heal the body. The author includes the master cleanse but there are a few other fasts listed...other juice fasts, soup fasts & blended fasts. They can last anywhere from 7 days or longer. He also includes some great smoothies, juice and soup blend recipes you can use post MC or post any other type of fast. I think before I go on the master cleanse again I'm going to try one of these other fasts to see how my body responds. It's my guess they may not be as extensive as the MC, but it may be a good idea to give your body a break in between master cleanses. So anyway, thought I'd mention this great book in the event you are also researching other fasts and ways to heal your body. It's a very easy read, small pamphlet sized book, chock full of great information.

Listed below is some information I found on-line a few months ago, I will repost it for anyone who's interested in the subject. I couldn't find the link, but anyone can find info on the liver cleanse process if you would like to do further research on your own. You can also purchase kits from Dr. Clark but this is also a common way to do it.

It is true that the MC heals the liver. However, if you have gallstones, only a liver flush or more intrusive surgery will remove the stones if you develop long range health problems as a result. I think it's better to do the flush early in life, what do you think? :D



    "Cleansing the liver of gallstones dramatically improves digestion, which is the basis of your whole health. You can expect your allergies to disappear too, more with each cleanse you do! Incredibly, it also eliminates many kind of pains joints, head, back etc. You will have more energy and an increased sense of well-being.

    CLEANING THE LIVER BILE DUCTS IS THE MOST POWERFUL PROCEDURE THAT YOU CAN DO TO IMPROVE YOUR BODY'S HEALTH.

    It is the job of the liver to make 2-3 pints of bile a day. The liver is full of tubes that deliver the bile to one large tube (the common bile duct). The gallbladder is attached to the common bile duct and acts as a storage reservoir. Eating fat or protein triggers the gallbladder to squeeze itself empty after about twenty minutes, and the stored bile finishes its trip down the common bile duct to the intestine.

    For many persons, including children, the biliary tubing is choked with gallstones. Some develop allergies or hives but some have no symptoms. When the gallbladder is scanned or X-rayed nothing is seen. Typically, they are not in the gallbladder. Not only that, most are too small and not calcified, a prerequisite for visibility on X-ray. There are over half a dozen varieties of gallstones, most of which have cholesterol crystals in them. They can be black, red, white, green or tan coloured. The green stones get their colour from being coated with bile. Many contain imbedded parasite remains or are shaped like corks with longitudinal grooves below the tops. You can visualise the blocked bile ducts from such shapes. Other stones are composites - made of many smaller ones - showing that they regrouped in the bile ducts some time after the last cleanse. At the very centre of each stone is found a clump of bacteria, according to scientists, suggesting that a dead bit of parasite might have started the stone forming.

    As the stones grow and become more numerous the backpressure on the liver causes it to make less bile. It is also thought to slow the flow of lymphatic fluid. Imagine the situation if your garden hose had marbles in it. Much less water would flow, which in turn would decrease the ability of the hose to squirt out the marbles. With gallstones, much less cholesterol leaves the body, and cholesterol levels may rise. Gallstones, being porous, can pick up all the bacteria, cysts viruses and parasites that are passing through the liver. In this way "nests" of infection are formed, forever supplying the body with fresh bacteria and parasite stages. No stomach infection such as ulcers or intestinal bloating can be cured permanently without removing these gallstones from the liver.

    Preparation

    It is preferable to complete the parasite cleanse and the kidney cleanse first, although you can do this before the second liver cleanse – yes you will need to repeat it!

    For 1- 6 Days preceding the liver cleanse, stimulate bile flow by beginning each morning with drinking the juice of half a lemon mixed with 1 Tablespoon of olive in warm/hot water. Better still liquidize and drink the juice plus the pith of one whole lemon and the olive oil in warm/hot water. (This contains a good supply of pectin and so can reduce the amount of apple juice required if preferred. During the course of the rest of the day drink one litre of apple juice (or one pint if having lemon pith). The pectin will soften the stones to enable an easy passage. Eat and drink normally.

    Ingredients required

    Epsom salts 4 Tablespoons. (freshly squeezed grapefruit or apple juice may be added instead of water to improve the taste*)

    Extra virgin olive oil ½ cup extra virgin olive oil

    Fresh pink grapefruit 1 large or 2 small, enough to squeeze 2/3 cup juice.

    Pint jar with lid

    Black Walnut Tincture, any strength* 10 to 20 drops, to kill parasites coming from the liver. * Optional

    Day 7. Choose a day like Saturday for the cleanse, since you will be able to rest the next day. Take no medicines, vitamins or pills that you can do without; they could prevent success. Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch such as cooked cereal, fruit, fruit juice, bread and preserves or honey (no butter or milk). This allows the bile to build up and develop pressure in the liver. Higher pressure pushes out more stones.

    2:00 PM. Do not eat or drink after 2 o'clock. You may moisten your mouth with a little water if it feels dry. (in hot weather, bathing will stop you dehydrating) . If you break this rule you could feel quite ill later.

    6:00 PM. Mix 1 Tablespoon of Epsom Salts in ¾cup of water or juice. You may like to have a lick of something tasty such as honey directly after to overcome the taste. Get the olive oil and grapefruit out, if in refrigerator to reach room temperature.

    8:00 PM. Drink another cup of Epsom salts. You haven't eaten since two o'clock, but you won't feel hungry. Get your bedtime chores done. The timing is critical for success.

    9:45 PM. Pour ½ cup (measured) olive oil into the pint jar. Squeeze the grapefruits to produce at least ½ - ¾cup. Add this to the olive oil. Also add Black Walnut Tincture (optional). Close the jar tightly with the lid and shake hard until watery (only fresh grapefruit juice does this). Prepare two more cups of Epsom Salts for the morning and take all drinks to the side of the bed. If you know that you can get nausious easily, the first time you do the cleanse, take only half the amount of the olive oil mixture. You may not get out as many stones as with the full dose, but you will be confident with the full process for next time.
    Now visit the bathroom one or more time, even if it makes you late for your ten o'clock drink. Don't be more than 15 minutes late. You will get fewer stones.

    10:00 PM. Drink straight down the grapefruit and olive potion you have mixed. A little honey is permitted afterwards. Drink it all standing up and get it down within 5 minutes (fifteen minutes for very elderly or weak persons).

    Lie down immediately. You might fail to get stones out if you don't. The sooner you lie down the more stones you will get out. Be ready for bed ahead of time. Don't clean up the kitchen. As soon as the drink is down walk to your bed and lie down either flat on your back with your head up high on the pillow, or can be on your right side with your knee drawn up. You also like the comfort of a hot water bottle on the stomach. Visualise what is happening in the liver and keep perfectly still for at least 20 minutes. You may feel a train of stones travelling along the bile ducts like marbles. There is no pain because the bile duct valves are open (thank you Epsom salts!). Go to sleep, you may fail to get stones out if you don't.

    Next morning. Upon awakening take your third cup of Epsom salts. If you have indigestion or nausea wait until it is gone before drinking the Epsom salts. You may go back to bed. Don't take this potion before 6:00 am.

    2 Hours Later. Take your fourth (the last) cup of Epsom salts. You may go back to bed again.

    After 2 More Hours you may eat. Start with fruit juice. Half an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat regular food but keep it light. By supper you should feel recovered.

    How well did you do? Expect diarrhoea in the morning. You may like to use an (old) colander and a torch to observe the gallstones in the toilet with the bowel movement. Look for the green kind since this is proof that they are genuine gallstones, not food residue. Only bile from the liver is pea green. The bowel movement sinks but gallstones float because of the cholesterol inside. Count them all roughly, whether tan or green. You will need to total 2000 stones before the liver is clean enough to rid you of allergies or bursitis or upper back pains permanently. The first cleanse may rid you of them for a few days, but as the stones from the rear travel forward, they give you the same symptoms again. You may repeat cleanses at two-week intervals. Never cleanse when you are [acutely] ill.

    Sometimes the bile ducts are full of cholesterol crystals that did not form into round stones. They appear as a chaff floating on top of the toilet bowl water. It may be tan coloured, harbouring millions of tiny white crystals. Cleansing this chaff is just as important as purging stones.

    How safe is the liver cleanse? It is very safe. My opinion is based on over 500 cases, including many persons in their seventies and eighties. None went to the hospital; none even reported pain. Most people feel rejuvenated on all levels. However a few may feel unwell for one or two days afterwards, which means there may be parasites blocking the ducts. In these cases completing a parasite and kidney cleanse program is vital.

    CONGRATULATIONS You have removed your gallstones without surgery!

    This procedure contradicts many modern medical viewpoints. Gallstones are thought to be formed in the gallbladder, not the liver. They are thought to be few, not thousands. They are not linked to pains other than gallbladder attacks. It is easy to understand why this is thought: by the time you have acute pain attacks, some stones are in the gallbladder, are big enough and sufficiently calcified to see on X-ray, and have caused inflammation there. When the gallbladder is removed the acute attacks are gone, but the bursitis and other pains and digestive problems remain.

    The truth is self-evident. People who have had their gallbladder surgically removed still get plenty of green, bile-coated stones, and anyone who cares to dissect their stones can see that the concentric circles and crystals of cholesterol match textbook pictures of "gallstones" exactly."

I plan to possibly do a separate liver and parasite cleanse at some point. I already completed one liver cleanse and released about 20 pea sized green gallstones. I've been putting off the parasite cleanse for years. The reason being I honestly don't think I could handle seeing any of those critters or eggs...yikes! Although, better in the toilet than in my intestines. It is said that 80-95% of humans have those things (the bad ones) inside of us, I really try not to dwell on this too much. Dr. Hulda Clark has some good kits and she's pretty well known for her knowledge of cleansing the body on this level. Here's her site: http://www.drclark.net/
