Master Cleanse Forum - Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet

Hello. I am currently on day 23 of my 40 day goal on the cleanse. About 4 days ago I came down with a horrible sickness and flu that I assume I caught from my kids who were fevered first. At the risk of TMI, it was also the first day of my period. The combination actually literally had me in tears as my body was in excruciating pain. The next few days were accompanied with serious dehydration as I skipped several days of lemonade and no tea or flushes. I just could not get out of bed for the life of me. Also every time I would just move my eyes from side to side I felt as though I may faint. That's when a friend brought up dehydration and after looking into it, I realized that had to be it. My electrolytes were definitely off so I had her bring me some coconut water. I didn't know what else to do other than break from the restrictions of the lemonade diet. I also had some fresh soup broth as I needed to ingest something and lemonade was making me feel nauseous. I know that's definitely the wrong way to break a fast and I hope it won't be too much of a problem. Anyway, now today I'm left with some serious head congestion, a cough, fatigue, and severe body pain. I feel as though I've been hit by a truck. I'm going to try to continue with the cleanse and get back on track, but is there anything I can do for my symptoms? Also I noticed today that I may be coming down with a cold sore which doesn't help matters. I'm sure it's also linked to stress. Stress with this sickness, stress of being a single mother of 3 young kids, and stress of completing all projects before I graduate college in just a few weeks. Normally I would take lysine supplements at first sign of cold sore, but the book said no supplements so I'm not sure what to do. Any advice??

Would it be alright to have oscillococcinum for the body aches and what about a homeopathic cough syrup? Or elderberry syrup? I feel like I need something else to help take the edge off this.

The book says any necessary medications should still be taken while on the cleanse so if your condition requires medication then I think it falls under that rule.

Thank you. I don't know if it necessarily requires it per se... but it would just be nice to alleviate some of the suffering. Anyway, I stuck to the cleanse today and am slowly feeling better. I hope I can go another16 days!
