So, after another weekend of eating too much, I decided to cleanse again for the next to 4/5 days. Today is day 1. It is pure vanity. You know it, I know it. But poor intentions leads me to good health. I think, anyway.

The want to get down weight because I'm turning 40 in 10 days (aack, 10 days!) I am going out with my closest friends to a great restaurant (Eleven Madison Park) on the 21st. And I want to look good.

I would MC it longer but I have Valentine's Day dinner with my wife 6 days from now. Then my actually birthday dinner on the 19th and group dinner (my best friends birthdays are 2/7, 2/18, and mine 2/19). Plus one of the wives is 2/14 and the other is 3/3. Lots of bdays to celebrate that day.

So I'll probably do it for four days, eat something light on Friday (juice and broth) and light Sat morning before going to a great romantic restaurant on Valentine's day. The only day of the year where I actually have to love my wife. (hahah)

So far today, its been good. Drank a lot more today than I have during any of my 13 days on the MC previously. I plan to work out tonight (cardio, PT, lift).

I'll let you know how I feel tomorrow.

I'm so chuffed you re-started yesterday as I've restarted today.

It was my dad's birthday on Friday and that led me to overindulge since then, and I have no option now but to get through those remaining lemons and limes and maple syrup bottles. I have made 2 litres of the MC and have it cooling in my fridge. I haven't had any yet but there's no tempting food in the apartment and I have to start as it's a friend's birthday on Sunday 22nd February, so I have no choice. I want to look my best and I can't have the weight creeping up again.

You're going to look great in 9 days time at your 40th birthday. Being a Londoner, I hadn't heard of that restaurant before but I've just googled it and it looks amazing! I went on their website and TripAdvisor. It sure is worth doing the MC before a sumptuous meal like that! Lucky you!
