Day 35 Master Cleanse. Glutton for punishment 101. Still drinking lemons, cayenne and maple effing syrup. Oh yeah. Bring it.








I have no clue how I didn't puke the SWF this morning.



I think I have a fever. I would take my temperature but ... who cares? You know? It happens.




Seriously SWF near-miss vomitorium.. Last days of Rome. It musta been the Jesus Eyes! Me and Jesus eyeball to eyeball. I have a cat, Lazlo, who finds me every single time I do a SWF and purrs on my lap. He's a helpful fellow.



Honestly not sure I can ever do that again. I'm doing this now hour by hour friends. So far we're 500 hours into the morning.



I am hoping it is just part of the migraine I got yesterday that lifted a bit this morning but now I am super sad-depressed and lethargic. Plus ... flashback city. Remembering my first ever migraine at 15. Everyone seemed to just accept that I was going to have migraines. Like my Grandmother. You know the whole "it's genetics" cop out. Cause yes, folks, that's silly nonsense. Your food, your exercise, your state of mind will always win over "genetics." It wasn't the food they were giving me. Oh no!



I remember the actual smell of the first migraine I ever had. This is hopefully why I am so nauseated and it will pass with a dark room and relaxation. Hiding from the world a bit longer my friends.




I have these memories of my Mother very much ... setting me up from many of the health problems I suffered from. The blind acceptance of migraines. The abuse that was physical from both parents. I told my hubs last week that the last time my Mother hit me, I was 15 and I told her if she ever did it again I was going to hit her back and beat her up. I also recall telling her that one day she would be old and frail and how would she ever know that maybe I wasn't going to care for her at all at that point?



He was shocked. "You SAID that?!"



"Eff yeah I said it. I was fearless by then. There's really something so brutal about your own parents hitting you and making excuses for their violence. It really makes you feel .... unsafe. Because, you are."



Like I said. A lot of ... flashbacks. Roll in ... roll out. Heal up. Drift away. Let go. There's no food to hide behind.



It's sad and it hurts. Master Cleanse; not for chickens, my chickens.




I have cravings that are so ridiculous and over the top ... lots of cooked fast food cravings. I think what is happening is that when I gained weight from being a teen into say ... a 20 year old it was all fast food cooked nonsense because suddenly I had access and money to buy that junk. Then I got bigger. So as I am getting smaller I am getting clobbered. Cell death is real, yo.



I gained two pounds overnight. Its the pain. And maybe that medicine. No matter because the floral jeans I ordered about 7 days ago, fit perfectly now. They didn't 7 days ago



Still. You know we all wanna see that weight keep going down.



nausea. sunlight is just bad I have things to do and just cannot. Trying NOT to freak out Girlscout.



Last night memory in a dream. I am in the Albuquerque Airport. We are waiting for my Grandmother to get in from Pasadena California. They have these very long corridors there at the airport, and I was 5 years old. And I was obsessed with skipping. I liked to skip. I also liked playing jacks. So I ask my Mom if I can go skip in the long hallway. She lets me because you know ... she's ... not .... normal. Subtext of; "yeah ok kidnappers go ahead and take my kids ..."



I am five and I am thrilled! Unlimited uninterrupted skipping! Where I lived there was zero space for skipping, no sidewalks, mud ... lots mud ... and no long places (outside of a road) to skip. I was flying into the air, perfectly free to skip my heart out! And I continue the skipping. It gets ... kind of quiet. I decide you know ... so what? I am there to skip. I will join the Olympic skipping team! Now is my chance!



Suddenly I see a team of bright yellow uniformed men all dressed in ... well ... Bomb Squad uniforms. I decide. You know. I can just ... skip around those guys. Just ignore them. Ignore the Spacemen. Instead they block me. Rude. They remove their headgear and one leans down to my level and I remember his eyes. They were very kind.



He says, "Little Girl? What are you doing?"



I say, "I'm skipping." Duh. God. Adults are so simple. They were always asking the silliest questions. It was not reassuring at all that people this dumb were running the world.



"Well the airport has been evacuated so you need to come with us."



I say. "Ok. Can I still skip?"



They laugh, and escort me .... and they let me skip outside to where my Mom waits all anxiously thinking I had been tied up to a bomb by the anti-skipping bomb terrorists.





This memory repeats to me.



Skip. Keep skipping. The bomb squad shows up. Ok you agree to go with them, as long as you can still skip.

Oh boy the emo detox is much tougher to bear imo than the other stuff. Hold fast and ride that horrible wave because there is an end to it. It will get better. It does get better. I am so sorry you feel so crappy all around though. You've done such a tremendous job (omg I sound like trump...shoot me now) on this mc and are soooo close to your end goal! It is all worth it in the end.

You're journal is so real. I think it's because you write so well. So emotively.

Also, how horrible is it that I spent most of the time while reading the rest of your post thinking about your floral dress? I know, I'm horrible. I was like, "I wonder what the base color is?"

today I checked the forum after a long time..and I was surprised to find you again cleansing so I read all your posts from this MC
I'm sorry to hear your life is filled with so much pain..and also that you were beaten as a child so MC is even harder for you because you are in pain and do it despite the pain (or also to make your pain bearable). And you're a geniuos writer, happy and up-beat
You had two periods on this cleanse so far. My period started on day 1 of this cleanse, and I was hardly waiting for it (or for the lack of it). And like you I did some online shopping for two dresses today - I like treating myself from time to time

I had to laugh at your scale calibration with the cats so cool. I love it also how you keep it secret to people. I told about the cleanse to my boyfriend and to two friends with whom I went to the mountains last week as I was not eating on that day. Otherwise I just don't tell. It passes faster if noone knows. I'm really looking forward to do two more days and then I can eat again! I'm active - I do pole dancing (intermediate level), running (also competitions) and walking in the mountains (usually 6-10 hours, in the snow at the moment). So I should not lose more weight, right now 118 lbs.

I love your determination and I know you'll persist no matter what. Very few people do that and very very very few do it for such a long time! You're an iron woman!

When I did my first long cleanse in 2009 I had a lot of support on this forum. Now I see there's almost no one here (besides you ). I wonder why... I guess we people don't like being out of our comfort zones and MC is exactly that. Day 1 most people can do but day 3 and longer... not many. I always liked reading success stories from people who did it longer and didn't give in. That's what counts and if you start doing something and you decided to bring it to the end - then I take it as granted that you finish it (and don't give up). But yes, human mind is weak.. unless we strengthen it

I read an article once that said that your husband doesn't need to see or know about your beauty tricks.
