Is the Master Cleanse safe for someone with Graves disease??

I've been wanting to do this fast and I want to make sure it's safe for me. I have Graves disease, which is an autoimmune disease. I think the fast will help me, but want to make sure. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

I suggest you read Burroughs entire book " Healing for the Age of Enlightenment". It goes into further detail regarding disease and the safety of the properties of the lemon cleanse. My nephew just got diagnosed with Graves and I hadn't thought about the lemon cleanse for him but we could look at it together and I'd be happy to help you. I have utilizing the lemon cleanse since 1992. It is the only thing I have found that is safe, no side effects and works. are you on any medications? My name is Tric. feel free to email me.

Oh, I didn't know there was another book. I have a little paper back book called The Master Cleanse. I'll definitley check that out. Thanks for your reply and help.

Oh, I forgot to answer your other question. I'm not on anti-thyroid meds right now. I've been off for 5 weeks. I'm hoping I'm going into remission. my next set of labs will tell. Although I feel like I might be headed back hyper-thyroid again. I'm currently taking a beta-blocker (only as needed) and a diuretic. I thought now would be a perfect time to start the cleanse w/ being off the meds.

Why dont you check with your doctor before doing anything gravesgirl. I have hashimotos thyroiditus, and i spoke to my doctor about the cleanse and she was fully supportive. She has made me go for regular checks and blood tests though, and is so amazed by my progress.

Yes, I will check with my Dr. as well. So do you think you've done so well due to the master cleanse?

Well the thyroid problem i have is of an underactive nature, and i dont feel sluggish anymore... i think its done me the world of good. I aim to do 20 days every 6 months. Spring and Autumn ( Fall for the Americans :wink:

) I really do believe that it will help me a lot. Plus a better diet in between the MC's.

I have been on thyroxin for 14 years now and feel the best i have ever felt, and my meds are down too!
