Hi, kelwest77--Just wanted to post and say that I can understand your struggle. But please keep going. Each day does get a little easier. I am on Day Four now, and my cravings are almost completely gone. I am fixing food for my family about three times a day, and it doesn't even tempt me. So, believe me, it does get better. You just have to get through the first few days.
I think this cleanse will help you to lose weight, but you have to make a commitment to eating right after you are finished with it. If you go right back to eating the same way, then the weight will come back pretty quickly. I have about 55 pounds to lose, and I am using this cleanse as a way to break me of my unhealthy eating habits. I am an emotional eater and that is why I put on so much weight. So now I'm just trying to retrain my mind and body to crave the right kinds of foods, and to eat only when I'm hungry.
Please keep posting here, because it does help to voice your thoughts, and sometimes others can be very supportive and encouraging. Also, I wanted to ask if you've ever heard of food combining? That's what I plan on doing when I'm finished with this cleanse. My favorite books to read on this way of eating is Suzanne Somers Dieting books. She explains it all so well, and you can pick up her books at a reasonable price on Amazon and Ebay. My sister lost quite a bit of weight using her eating guidelines and so I know that it can be done.
At any rate, best wishes to you, and I hope and pray that you will be successful, because I know firsthand the pain and frustration that you are going through right now.
God bless, and please keep me posted.
